Our stay at the Banyan Tree was enjoyable. Loved the luxurious villa accommodation with the private pool. Would have been nice to have an ocean view though. All villas are very private and you do not see or hear your neighbours.
The buggy pick up was very efficient and we never waited longer than 15 minutes. I would imagine that during peak season one would have a longer wait time. Our host Amy was so hard working and always available. She arranged a taxi to drive us around the island at very short notice.
Breakfast choice was extensive - and staff very efficient.
The Chef at the Sand Restaurant was fantastic - we ate all our meals there, as we liked the location right on the beach and it was more casual. Every meal we had was excellent and very tasty. The drinks were a little pricey.
The spa was very disappointing as they offer a "free" Rain Forest treatment but then cut out one of the key treatments once we were there, plus making the two of us use the different stations together where clearly it should have been one at a time to get the benefit of the treatment. They clearly want to upsell their services - so this was disappointing as it cheapened the whole experience.

I am glad that the design of your pool villa provided you with a private space for relaxation. Perhaps on a future visit, you can experience the same level of comfort paired with scenic views of our bay looking out across the Gulf of Thailand.
We continue to receive positive comments for the prompt, efficient service of our buggy service and it is great that you were able to move around the resort with ease.
Our culinary team works hard to provide a range of options at our breakfast buffet at The Edge and I am glad you enjoyed the variety of selections on offer. Moreover, it is great that you were impressed with the setting, service and cuisine of Sands.
I regret to read of your disappointment with your experience at The Rainforest. Unfortunately, I could not fully understand the point you are emphasizing, so I followed up directly with our spa team and your Villa Host, Amy. They noted that we do not have any direct feedback on record in regards to your displeasure and it is disappointing that we were not aware of this during your stay, so we could be afforded the opportunity to adequately address your concerns.
With all due respect to your comments, this is the first time that we have receive feedback such as this regarding The Rainforest. There was never any intention whatsoever by our spa team to mislead you or to find a clever way to reduce our services and manipulate you for a profit.
