We were shocked at how beautiful the scenery was, the ocean bar, and a little river that flows through the resort. But the best was customer service! I have never met such nice, caring, and sincere staff. They were always upbeat. My friend was in a moped accident and they went above and beyond to make sure she got everything she needed. Their English was also very good which was nice because they were willing to call the clinic for us, schedule us taxis, booked our ferry for us, and so much more. The location of the resort was also very nice. We stayed on Koh Lanta for 4 days, the location is amazing, quite but not far from stuff to do. The service is okay. The food is great. The resort was taken over just 7months ago and for that it’s really good, looking forward coming back and to see what they made out of it. The rooms (sea view view) are very clean and the view is just amazing! The hotel is newly renovated, and the room was beautiful. The whole property was very well kept with nice private beaches and pool area. Fantastic breakfast buffet (the egg station and fresh pancakes were particularly great!) with lots of fresh fruits, juices, good coffee and savory options. Really enjoyed our cocktails at the bar, overlooking the beach and with amazing sunset views. Dinner options were a little pricy compared to local alternatives in walking distance, but the food was still tasty. Moonlight bay helped us with this at the front desk and over all we stayed 10 nights instead of 5\. We tried some different bungalows and our favorite was the ocean view ones. The hotel is quiet and calm and is located next door to a beautiful cliff-side restaurant with amazing Tom yum. Our cabin was just above the sea and beach and had a beautiful outlook. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Breakfast was decent with choices of cereal, eggs, some (limited) fruit. We always managed to find a deckchair - it never felt too busy. Only negative was that the bathroom was a bit worn but still functional. Staff were very helpful. Good restaurants in walking distance (we didn’t have meals at the resort). Restaurants we went to were Coco Tango, Shamti Shanti, Dirty Fish. The cabins are up multiple stairs and on a hill - so you need to be mobile to stay here. The rooms are well designed and spacious, and look out on a beautiful jungle. The area is quiet but has goo range of restaurants within a ten minute walk. The property looks like it has not yet recovered from the pandemic, and parts of it appear abandoned (including the beach access). The staff seem more cost conscious for this reason as well, and the attention to ensuring amenities is not always consistent. The hotel is situated directly on Klong Nin Beach and has its own secluded beach. There are two pool areas and a nice restaurant and bar. We stayed in a pool view room which was a good size with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and the creek and were able to watch a great variety of wildlife from the balcony in the early evening. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of food. One tip: get a second coffee maker!! The morning coffee queue is painful! The pool and beach area are quiet and there is no morning battle for sunbeds. We snorkelled off the beach and there was a bit to see underwater but not much. The hotel is about one mile from the main Klong Nin beach area which has a plethora of beach bars, restaurants and massage parlours. We chose to walk in and back each evening but there is always a taxi or two waiting outside the hotel if needed. I only have one real criticism. We decided to attend the Wednesday Seafood Barbecue and Fire show and turned up at the scheduled time of 7pm. There was already a large queue so we ordered a drink, joined the queue and made our order. By this time, we got the very last jacket potato and all the corn was gone. (There were still a number of people behind us in the line.) We placed our order (fish and squid) and went back to our seats. It was the one and a quarter hours until our food arrived.
