The location is excellent, directly in front of the beach in Saladan and within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, walking street, and the ferry terminal. Even though it is very central, it sits at the end of a quiet dead-end street, which makes it peaceful. I stayed in two rooms, first a town-facing balcony room and later a sea view room. Both were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds are firm, typical Thai style, but comfortable with great pillows. The sea view was beautiful. The rooms are simple but well maintained and practical. What truly makes this place special is that it is run by a local Thai family. My flight was delayed and I arrived close to 11 pm, even though reception normally closes at 9 pm. The manager waited for me, welcomed me with a beer, and offered food. Throughout my stay they helped book activities, arranged laundry, ensured daily cleaning, and were always available. When I became ill, they took excellent care of me. Some furniture shows signs of age, but everything is clean and well cared for. The value for money is excellent. Les chambres sont super propres et mignonnes, il y a tout ce dont vous aurez besoin. l’hôtel est extrêmement bien placé, devant la plage qui est quasiment vide ce qui est extraordinaire et à 2 minutes à pied d’une rue commerçante où vous trouverez tout ce dont vous souhaitez (magasins, ATM, pharmacies, restaurants, brunch etc). Le seul problème c’est de ne plus avoir envie de partir pour rentrer chez soi ! To be fair if you are in the area to dive and just need a place to crash this will do but this is at best a 2 motel and out does look like there are other options. Vi bodde bara en natt innan vi åkte vidare. Billigt o enkelt, värdparet var väldiga, trevliga o tillmötesgående. De bokade vår transport till båten, bilen kom inte i tid o de ringde flera gånger för att försäkra att vi inte skulle missa båten. Allt gick bra o vi var flera som kom sent till båten pga sena transporter, bokar man ihop med Tiger Line så lämnar inte båten även om bilen är sen. Inget hotell att bo länge på men helt ok för en eller ett par nätter om man nöjer sig med det enkla. Vi har bodd på flere steder på KO Lanta, og nyter feriene der. Forsøkte nå en rimelig variant av hotell, og ble meget positivt overrasket. Hotellet ligger i et rolig strøk, og har en fantastisk betjening, i far og sønn. Vi bodde der i 12 dager og stortrivdes. Otroligt härligt att sitta på balkongen och se ut över horisonten! Personalen var väldigt goa, trevliga och hjälpsamma. Åker ni till Koh Lanta så tycker jag absolut att ni ska kolla in detta hotell. Esimerkiksi hotellin kautta ostettuna kuljetus lentokentältä hotellille maksoi 300 bahtia. Muutenkin lauttakippuja yms tuntui saavan hotellin kautta halvemmalla. Skootterin vuokra oli 200 bahtia/päivä kuten muuallakin. I wanted a simple room for exploring another area of Krabi and this was perfect. I elected to have a room with a fan, because I prefer natural air even on the warmer side, but they do offer both! This property is clearly well cared for. The staff went above and beyond to help me. I arrived hobbled by an injury from earlier in my trip and they were so gracious to me! Absolut entsprechend dem Preis. Das ganze Hotel ist sehr sauber, der Boden im Lobby wird ständig abgewischt. Personal ist höchstens bemüht und kompetent, auf einem 4\* Niveau. Thema Strand - Hotel liegt tatsächlich 300m von einem Strand, man muss nur durch den Garten gehen. Auf Grund den großen Unterschieden zwischen Ebbe&Flow ist der Strand manchmal groß, manchmal klein. Es ist sicher kein besonders hübscher Strand, aber bei low Tide kann man sehr weit durch mehr spazieren und das fanden wir voll spannend. Im Vergleich mit 5 anderen Unterkünften, die wir während unseres Urlaubes in Thailand hatten, fanden wir diesen am saubersten. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Sijainti lähellä kylän keskustaa rauhallisessa kulmauksessa rannalla oli hyvä, vaikka parhaat uimarannat olivatkin vähän kauempana - niihin pääsi kulkemaan skootterilla. Rantapyyhkeet saa mukaan Alohasta. Myös Lantan keskustaan Saladaniin sekä satamaan oli lyhyt, vain muutaman minuutin kävelymatka. Huoneet olivat perussiistit ja siivottiin päivittäin. Aamupalaa ei Alohasta saa, mutta viereisestä ravintolasta vain 100 metrin päästä sai. Parasta paikassa on ystävällinen ja todella palveluhenkinen henkilökunta, jolta sai vinkkejä ja apua monessa asiassa. Yksi seurueestamme satutti jalkansa myöhään illalla vastaanoton ollessa jo kiinni, jolloin isäntäväki haki jäitä ensiavuksi sekä käytti autollaan lääkäriasemalla, jossa olivat myös mukana tulkkaamassa ja odottivat tutkimusten ajan sekä toivat takaisin hotellille. He myös puhuivat hyvää englantia (ei mikään itsestäänselvyys monessa paikassa). Majoitusliike ei ollut mikään viiden tähden resortti, mutta ei sellaista kyllä luvannutkaan. The Aloha Lanta is a short (5-10 minutes depending on our motivation) walk to the ferry dock. We mistakenly did not include air conditioning when we booked but, after the first night, adjusted pretty well with a room fan. There is a beach of sorts 30 meters from the hotel, but there is a huge sand bar that limits swimming to high tide or the channel where power boats go in and out of the docks. Getting to and from the hotel took us past dozens of seafood restaurants and the main road (#4245, never found a name for it) has more restaurants and street cafes, our preferred places to find real Thai food (rather than DDTT, dumb-downed tourist Thai meals). There is the Lanta Mart for food and drinks (large Chang beer for 57 Baht compared to 100-130 Baht in a restaurant), lots of dive shops, a 7-11, Lanta Massage (10% off with card from hotel). The best thing about the hotel was Peter, the host who opened the hotel at 7-7:30 a.m. and closed it at 9 p.m. He was friendly, willing to talk with us (and interested in us), quickly worked to fix a noisy fan, and just an all around great person. When I came down with a 36-hour gastroenteritis illness, he helped my wife cancel our kayaking tour and get a half-day tour for her, provided me with a case of water, and offered to get me electrolyte powder from pharmacy.
