You'll have the entire cottage to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Pirates' Retreat (2-Bedroom Cottage) - Pets Allowed by RedAwning

Come enjoy your stay in our Historic "Beach Box" across the street from the

beach. This 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage is just steps away from a very exclusive

and beautiful beach. We have central heat/air, High Speed Wifi, Smart 65" TV

and plenty of off street parking.



Our beautiful little cottage is fully furnished and stocked. It features two

queen pillow top beds and two twins. We have a full size kitchen with all

that's needed to cook a full dinner.



We hope you will love the original wood plank walls and ceilings. This is the

way they built these original cottages years ago. Even the cabinets are built

from the same wood and by the same carpenters. A very Historic Outer Banks

Beach Cottage. This beach cottage can be described as Rustic. We are making

improvements to our new addition and you may notice a few minor imperfections.

We hope you will love the fabulous location as we are focused on providing a

clean and comfortable respite for you and your family.



We also have the identical cottage next door. For larger groups, if

available, the units can be leased together to accommodate family groups like

reunions.



We do charge a pet fee of $99 per pet per stay.



Please be aware that we do not allow parties , reservation will be cancelled

with no refund Penalty applies. No Exceptions!



Pet Fee is $99 per pet and per stay plus tax and processing fees.



If not disclosed prior to your stay, the pet fee is $300



Pets must be house trained and stay off of bedding and furniture



An Extra Cleaning fee of $99 will be charged to remove pet hair from bedding

or furniture



Extra Charges:



Early Check-In for 1 PM - $75 (if available) Late Check-Out at 1 PM - $75 (if

available)



Normal Check Out is 10 AM. A fee of $45 per hour is charged beginning at

10:05 AM



Cleaners are on a schedule and can not be kept waiting!



This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise. Quiet

hours begin at 9 PM.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Manager largely unresponsive Cottage very close to beach.Cottage was very rudimentary. For example, eating, drinking and utensils barely adquate.

Very old and dark. Clean. I mistook the two minute walk to the beach to mean it was on the beach. Couldn’t hear or see the ocean from this house.

there were burrs stuck throughout the carpet, a stench of sewerage or trash rot at the bottom of the steps, wifi non-existent and when contacted the owner nothing was done and no response, lights dont work in bedroom or outside, only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 adults for 4 days, lawn not mowed and totally overgrown, no beach chair that you would want to use, no screens in window. rusty chairs on front porch-all for more than $1800. too bad this house didnt have a little TLC or upkeep since the location is great, which was the only beneficial aspect.
