"The castle is very unique experience (and authentic) and Robbie is a real character (in the best way possible)! Breakfast was excellent with a range of options. The room and bed was very comfy. You absolutely feel like you are going back in time. Would stay again. Also the walk down to the beach is worth the wee 2 minute walk as there are some amazing rounded beach pebbles to collect."

Good Fish and Chip shop around the corner (had the Haddock with chips and curry which was delicious and a good portion size) and a sandwich bar that serves breakfast items too (bacon butties recommended). Really good bakers across the road with numerous choices. Close to Montrose town centre and beach and on the way in from Dundee and the North. Benefit of Netflix on site and free WiFi. "Ideal property in the centre of Montrose with free parking only 250y away. I stayed for 4 nights whilst working in the area and would recommend it to any of my co-workers. Clean , tidy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay for work or holiday"

"Nice wide hall and stairs, Room was very comfortable with a great size bathroom, We had tea in the restaurant there and it was very very good, We had a drink in the bar after on a Friday night and it was good only 2 other people in the bar so talked together, Great place to stay, owner's where very friendly and welcoming."
