"A beautiful property that was let down by a few things. The mixer tap configuration downstairs was leaking with water spilling down the back of the shaped bath causing an unpleasant damp smell, the fridge and freezer combo under stairs was not fitting correctly and there was a broken shelf in the fridge. the soft furnishing smelt of dog and I removed most of the cushions and blankets downstairs for the duration of our stay. The key entry system was very hit and miss despite following the written instructions but did eventually lock. The lovely balcony was littered with dead tree vegetation and the table and chairs could do with a refresh. The extractor fans were not working in bathrooms. With a little more care this lovely home could be stunning"

"We really enjoyed our time here. Close to drive to all the things we wanted to do in the area. Our family of 4 was quite comfortable. Kids had space for themselves. The map provided to get to the house was easy to understand. Communication with the host was also smooth."

"Here’s a version under 1,500 characters:We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Manar House. We traveled from Texas for a family wedding nearby, and Manar became the perfect home base for our family.The house itself is extraordinary — historic, beautiful, spacious, and full of character, while still having all the modern comforts you need. The suites were every bit as impressive as the photos, the kitchens and bathrooms were excellent, and even the water pressure was outstanding.Our kids, ages 11 and 9, loved the grounds. They spent hours outside on the rope swing, exploring, feeding the Highland cows, and enjoying the cool Scottish weather. My dad also fell in love with the horses in the nearby pasture and started calling them “his horses” by the end of the trip.The location was perfect: peaceful and private, but still close to Inverurie for restaurants, groceries, Tesco, Morrisons, and anything else we needed. I also loved being able to walk from the property to nearby trails and East Aquhorthies Stone Circle.Dean and Christina were fantastic hosts — kind, responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. They gave great local guidance and helped make the trip smooth.Manar House is not just a beautiful place to stay; it feels like a house with a story. We stayed at several lovely places in Scotland, but Manar was the one that truly felt like home. We are very grateful and would recommend it without hesitation."

"This was probably one of the most charming rentals we have ever stayed in! The home was very clean, well-appointed with more than anyone would need, and a cute, friendly town to boot. We loved the park just up the street and the markets/coffee shops/butcher were so convenient. Just a short drive to many interesting places to visit. The home has been beautifully remodeled and has a relaxing back yard with a grill, plenty of outdoor seating, games, and a firepit. I would highly recommend this amazing home and hope that we get the chance to visit again!"
