Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary Holidays from £613

Room was very dated and badly needs upgrading, wood panels which makes the room very dark. Vanity unit located in shower cubicle so nothing can be left on the vanity otherwise it gets wet when you shower. Shower only had 2 doors...there should have been 3...so the bathroom floor along with the vanity got soaked when showering. Minimal storage - no drawers or wardrobe, clothes had to remain in suitcase for duration of the stay. Long walk from reception to deluxe/superior rooms (dont be fooled by these names not deluxe or superior at all. I wouldn't recommend this place for people with disabilities (no access at all) or people who cant manage stairs. Pool located at the far end of the complex and again not disability friendly, also needs a clean up. Always busy due to lack of activities in the area. Location is great - 5 min walk to sun bears, Orangutan sanctuary and RDC although non of these are actually worth a visit. Over priced and poor - we actually saw more wildlife walking around the hotel grounds including Orangutans which used the roof as a highway 😀

Room was great - we had a junior suite with balcony which overlooked the forrest and the pool. No cushions on sunbeds on balcony but we managed. Great food and lovely staff. Not much to do in local area but would use hotel again as a 1 night stop over to somewhere else.
