World Famous Shaka Camper


Disclaimer- for all our Values Guests.
This Van is the oldest in our fleet. it has many bumps, bruises, scrapes etc on the outside.
However the engine transmission , brakes and tires are great!

It is still very comfortable on the inside and has tons of adventure let to give. Please keep in mind this is why the nightly rate is less than our other options.
I you are seeking a more ascetically pleasing option for your vacation please msg me and I will be happy to show you our other options.

After booking confirmation we provide a comprehensive list of all approved campgrounds on Maui. by request we help with ideas for great food, surf and snorkel locations, and live entertainment



You are welcome and encouraged to visit Hana!

Be sure to reserve a site at one of the 3 available campgrounds if planning to stay overnight in that area.
This camper van is allowed 1 visit up to Haleakala , summit and visitors center per booking.

-All Dirt Roads including the back side of east Maui between Kaupo and Ulapalakula are not allowed to travel on. this area is not safe for large heavy vehicles

Please be sure to return your camper van gas tank back on Full this Camper can be tricky and may take a few time to fill even when the nozzle shuts off
Please be sure to remove all sand dirt and mud and debris from interior of van. Excessive sand, dirt , mud etc will result in additional cleaning fees
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

To camp in Hana you must stay in Camp ground. There are 2 public and 2 private campgrounds to choose from Best to book reservations 4-8 weeks ahead
This Van is Not allowed to travel up to crater road that leads to Haleakala national park at the summit So No exceptions
Cannot take Camper in Dirt roads You can access Hana via the north shore and back You can travel all the way to a Kipahulu.

Its a campervan that has taken many trips around Maui so it had a few dings that added some personality but it also had some nice little touches too. Came with camp chairs, towels, cooler, camp stove, sink etc. Steve the owner was great about campground recommendations and Rob was great getting me from the airport to the van and explained everything about it and was easily/quickly accessible if i ran into any issues or needed any recommendations. For coming to hawaii, a campervan is the best bang for your buck to explore most parts! I would 100% do this again. Only thing I would change is maybe a rooftop fan with stronger CFMs so it just moved more air. But there was even a mini battery powered fan which was nice too! On the outside the van blends in almost like a workvan so you look like a local.

The only way to stay in Maui!!!

Every single second from the booking to being dropped back off at the airport to head home was AMAZING!!! The adventure van was PERFECT, it had everything we needed and then some. Rob picked us up and dropped us off. We slept on a different beach every night with the side door open. Being able to travel adventure in the cutest little van was amazing. Can't wait to come back and do it again. Thank you so much.
