  • Wailana Kai is located in North Kihei just a short distance from Sugar Beach. This is the perfect location for somebody who wants to be near the water. Sugar Beach is in an ideal spot in the middle of Maui allowing for easy drive times to Wailea in the south or Ioa Valley in Wailuku. Rest, relax and enjoy the Beach and pool or head off to Hana or Haleakala National Park. View all of Maui with Wailana Kai as your starting point.

    The 10 unit building sits at the end of a short cul-de-sac where it is private and quiet. Guests won’t hear the traffic on the main road and are less than 90 yards to the beach and ocean. This complex includes a pool which is newly renovated and tiled as of January 2024, BBQ grills, outdoor washing station for sandy feet & beach gear, & coin or pay app operated laundry.

    Our cleaning crew is very thorough. All surfaces are cleaned with a bleach solution or other effective disinfectant between guests. All linens, wash clothes, towels and sheets are changed out between guests including the duvet and pillow shams. Check out time is 11 AM and check in is after 4 pm. This decreases the likelihood that germs will survive and allows our cleaning staff time to do excellent work without being rushed.

    The bedroom now has a new window air conditioner just in time for summer. A king sized bed with memory foam mattress, dresser, night stand, table lamps and large closet are all provided for a comfortable stay. There is a queen sized pull out sleeper sofa in the living room next to the second window air conditioner for additional guests. The unit offers an ocean view and the lanai has a bar height table for two. This condo is supplied with beach chairs and an umbrella for enjoying the sunny, warm days and some board games for relaxing in the evenings. We try to provide all the necessary amenities to fully enjoy your Maui vacation.

    The bathroom is an ensuite accessed through the only bedroom. It includes a toilet, vanity and plenty of room for any toiletries. The walk in shower has a rain shower head and hand held wand. You will find bath products like shampoo, conditioner and soap provided.

    The kitchen includes an air fryer, microwave, oven with stovetop, a blender for smoothies or cocktails, dishwasher, dishes, plastic cups and plates for use poolside and most cooking utensils you might need to prepare a full meal or just warm up your leftovers.

Perfect getaway in Kihei

This property was perfect for our stay in Maui. It’s a great location with plenty of local restaurants and coffee shops close by. The beach across the street is perfect for a sunset stroll. Best of both worlds

Fara’s condo was the perfect location for our Maui beach getaway. It’s on the quieter end of Kihei, across from the beach, and only a few minutes away from restaurants, shopping, and exploring other parks and beaches. The condo itself was nicely furnished, very clean and well stocked. I loved starting my day with an early morning beach walk to Sugar Beach Bake Shop for great coffee and baked goods, especially the malasadas!

This is a wonderful, quaint beach condo, with a terrific host! It's just a short 1 minute walk to a beautiful beach where you can see turtles and other marine life. After issues with our flight, it was a pleasure to walk into this quiet, clean, calming condo for our stay! It was equipped with all you need for a fun Hawaiian vacation! Communication was excellent! The air conditioning was a gift & the ceiling fans in the bedroom helped keep you cool while sleeping. The rainfall shower was lovely and the room was well stocked with plenty of towels. We didn’t cook anything (too lazy) but the kitchen looked equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but it looked inviting! Amazing condo with extras

We had a wonderful week at Wailana Kai and this condo had all we needed to feel at home. It is very comfortable with a nice bed and space to relax in the living room. We enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the lanai and walked across to Sugar Beach for sunsets. The street and condo are quiet and away from the busy resorts. We appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler and used them daily on our adventures. Fara was very accommodating and a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Maui.

We had a great visit. The condo was clean and well maintained. The location was great - it was a 2-3 minute walk from the condo to the beach every evening to watch the sunset. Fara was a great host. We found out about the flooding and road in closures due to the storm shortly before we were due to fly out. We were worried how this would impact us. Fara not only reassured us, but drove to the condo taking pictures on the way so we could see what to expect from the road, and see that we could access the property without issues. It was very comforting, and we really appreciated that she went the extra mile to do that for us.

Very convenient location

Lovely to be steps away from the beach! We enjoyed our stay in Maui although truthfully did not spend much time at the rental - we were out about from early in the morning until after dark. Very nice to have beach chairs, an umbrella, lots of towels, etc. - makes going to the beach very easy. Bed is very comfortable, shower was nice and well stocked. We didn't use the shared laundry facilities but they are nearby (outside). Outdoor furniture needed a thorough wipe down before we could use it, otherwise place was clean and comfortable. One note - the windows in the bedroom face the walkway where the front doors for all the units are, so you will likely want to keep those blinds shut at all times, which can make it a bit dark.

Heaven meets Earth ~*~ BE HERE NOW!

The title says it all… if you are looking for the absolutely perfect place to connect your dreams with reality, then this amazing condo is the best place to be!!!! First off, the host Fara is the best we’ve ever had (and we travel all over the world!). She has thought of absolutely everything a Maui vacation could possibly need ~*~ from the perfectly designed layout of the space with labels that make everything super easy to use and find, along with all the supplies you need and beyond! The rain shower is luxurious with full bottle amenities, so you can pack light and be sure you have what you need! We cooked a lot in the condo and all the basics (olive oil, pan spray, salt/pepper, butter, mayo, etc.) were supplied along with zip lock bags, foil, and every appliance needed ~ including an air fryer! The bed is super comfy and unlike other rentals we’ve stayed at there were more than enough towels and anything else we might have needed! And of course the best was the beach gear: multiple chairs, umbrella, sand sheet, floaties… truly incredible to be able to fly to Hawai’i and have everything ready as if you already lived there! And I actually surprised myself how much time I spent in the pool, which was recently completely redone and I think it was the inlaid turtles at the bottom that made me want to swim multiple times a day, and also take a ton of photos with the Maui sign ~better than a 5 star hotel, because it felt like it was all mine!!! I’ll be dreaming of it every day!
