The location could not have been better. We had several activities planned and nothing was more than a 40 minute drive. The condo was very clean and as described. I was pleasantly surprised at how gracious the host was with stocking the condo with shampoos, trash bags and even laundry detergent. There were beach towels and even beach chairs with an umbrella. After the tragic fire in Lahaina we felt we couldn't play tourist and wanted to respect those living in that area by staying away. We were very fortunate to find a condo that fit our requirements in south Kihei/Wailea for the dates we needed. It did not disappoint! The condo is exactly as pictured. Clean, updated, perfect! The views from the lanai are simply stunning. The location couldn't be any better and it sits right on Keawakapu, the best beach on Maui. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Representing this condo as a 2 bedroom is a stretch. More like a 1 bedroom apartment converted to hold an extra bed by installing a sliding door across the living space, leaving the living space feeling very cramped.The building itself feels dated and the staff of the building made guests feel policed by enforcing what we found out to be the rules of the condo--no throwing a nerf ball back and forth in the pool. No "marco polo" in the pool. These enforcements were not on our family personally, but we constantly observed the security staff telling kids they could not play like this in the pool. The security staff were honestly more of a nuisance than the kids were. Might as well just make it a no kids policy if you don't want families to be part of the environment. We were also told that there would be a restaurant/snack bar present. There is a small shop that sells small snacks and other souvenirs, but the actual restaurant/snack bar has been closed for 2 years.On the positive side, the beach was excellent and had a great coral reef for snorkeling right off the shore. The beach is open to the public. Perfect size for 2 couples. Love that each bedroom has a King bed and on suite bathroom. The sliding wall to close off the one bedroom works great. The view from the lanai is beautiful. The pool is a perfect temperature and stunning at night. The complex is quiet, clean and well maintained. The elevators are quick, and the reserved parking is awesome! The beach tho! We didn’t even travel to do beach days anywhere else. This beach is the best for all beach activities. Perfect location to all things tourist, but tucked away to feel like a local. Steps from the beach, loved hearing the waves crash at night! Property is beautiful and well maintained, with enough room for 3-4 people. Felt like a hotel! Sit out on the balcony and soak in the view. We were VERY surprised to discover that the nicest beach of our trip ended up being the one right out front from this condo. Great swimming, great snorkeling, right there. Additionally, there is a beautiful lawn with lawn chairs you can use if you are staying in the condo building which made it SO EASY to relax. The condo was super clean, has a great view, really comfy beds and bedding, and overall really nice. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked in terms of utensils and cookware, perfect if you like to prepare your own meals here and there. Penny the owner was VERY helpful, responsive, and flexible for us. We definitely would book this again! ##### Joanna T.
