Unique qualities of this unit are its central location within the complex and the fact that it is a ground floor unit. This provides for easy access to the pool, the barbeque and the beach (which is 1/2 block away across the street) and is helpful for unloading groceries, loading and unloading luggage and items for day trips around the island. COMFORT A screen door, an upgraded window in the bedroom and a patio door, all of which are lockable, provide a cool breeze which keeps the unit comfortable most of the time. There is an air conditioner in the living room and ceiling fans in the kitchen, living room and bedroom to supplement the breezes. GARDEN VIEW The very private lanai has a garden view comprised of tropical plants, a flowering hedge and an adjacent field filled with an abundance of green foliage. LARGE ONE BEDROOM UNIT Before w bought we had rented units in Kihei Alii Kai many times and love the size of the units (700 sq feet in the one-bedrooms plus a 150 sq ft lanai). We have viewed units in many of the surrounding properties and none can compare. WELL FURNISHED - NICELY APPOINTED The fully equipped kitchen is a pleasure to work in. It has been upgraded with maple cupboards, granite counters, and new flooring. A newly renovated bathroom with tub and shower is a beauty. The smooth-top stove has a self-clean oven and the microwave is over the stove. We have re-texture the walls , re-paint the living room, kitchen and halls, install new carpet in the living room and bedroom, replace the drapes, dishwasher, and air conditioner . Sleep in the luxury of a queen size Simmons Beautyrest pillowtop mattress in the bedroom and a new sofa bed in the living room which has a queen size deluxe spring-filled mattress with a pillowtop. Furniture has been upgraded with new queen size sofa bed, occasional chairs, dining suite and bedroom suite. A full sized washer and dryer allows for fresh clothes changes in a sweaty tropical climate The beautifully tiled lanai (porch) has a chaise lounge and a table and chairs and opens onto a lawn which is very private. Beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler are provided. Long distance calls to Canada and the USA are free as is the wi-fi internet access. GETTING AROUND MAUI While car rental gives visitors the luxury of touring the island at your leisure, it can be expensive. If you would prefer an alternative mode of transportation, we can recommend the Maui Bus. Details for using the Maui Bus are available on-line and in the the Visitors Binder in our condo. Shuttle Services are available for getting to the condo from the airport in Kahului. The refrigerator was spotless, and the ice maker came in very handy as we took a small cooler bag filled with ice to the beach every day. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was also spotless. The wide-screen TV was the perfect size to come back and relax watching after exploring the island. The air conditioner, located in the living room, cooled the condo nicely, along with the ceiling fans. The swimming pool and hot tub are well-maintained, and the grounds are very beautiful! Walking distance to the beach and so.e shopping. Really no view at all from the condo. The condo felt a little dated. My only complaints were the air conditioning could only be set to run for 1 hour. We got in let and it was really hot so had to wait to go to sleep. Then woke up sweating and had to get up and turn the air back on. Getting luggage to the condo from the parking area isn't easy either. The condo has very spacious living areas and Lanai. Included all the beach activities so we didn’t have to rent—snorkel, chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. The hosts were easy to communicate with and accommodating. Pool and spa area was great as well! The condo is cozy, clean and has a very well equipped kitchen. The private lanai is a great place to relax. The beach is just a 3-minute walk down the street and a lot of cute cafes and stores are close by. Right across the street from the Kam 1 beach which is the best beach in south Maui. Great location close to stores and dinning spots. The unit is well stocked and very nice. It is very spacious, clean, and well stocked. There are also beach chairs, boogie boards for use which was great. It is walking distance to the beach, and close to nearby shops/restaurants.
