Every sunset is different and can be seen from different vantage points from either of the private lanais off the living room or master bedroom. This condo is the largest floor plan available; don't be fooled, but look at this closely - most 2BR/2Bath units at Kauhale Makai are 799 sq. ft. Only a few units like ours with both bedrooms directly looking out upon the ocean are 975 sq. ft. What you end up paying for a unit doesn't correlate with what you will get, so look closely at what size you are getting. We have done an extensive remodeling project involving the entire unit. You will enjoy the beauty, inside and out. It is so peaceful and private here. This condo sleeps 6 with comfortable options for either two couples or a family. One bedroom has a King bed and the other bedroom has a queen-size bed. Both rooms serve as master bedrooms with views of the Pacific Ocean, West Maui Mountains, neighboring islands and Ma’alaea Harbor. Each has its own separate adjoining bathroom. For the family option, the King bed is prepared in advance as two twin beds. The queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room is new and very comfortable with advanced mattress technology (mattress is 8 1/2" thick, as thick as a standard bed mattress). Experienced Hawaiian vacationers will appreciate the quiet, central air conditioning; a rare commodity in condo complexes in Kihei. This really makes for a more comfortable stay. Boogie boards, air mattresses, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels and coolers are provided. There is a wide range of restaurants and a farmer’s market within a mile of the condo. Nearby you will find shopping centers ranging from outlet malls to world class boutiques - and golfing in Wailea. Beaches known around the world are only minutes away. Last, but not least, to rent this condo is a unique experience in service and communication. Margie, the owner, does not work through a managing agency through the reservation process but receives all communication herself before and during your stay. She has a fast response rate and as you can tell from the multiple rave reviews, having this connection with her makes a big difference towards having a wonderful vacation experience. She does not charge an administrative add-on fee for her hands-on care of her guests like you will see on many listings. Margie’s “Maui Bliss” is truly bliss! We arrived after dark and will always remember the thrill of opening the curtains the next morning to this amazing view. Photos don’t do it justice. Peaceful, beautiful, birds singing and a big green belt with palm trees then ocean views—what could be better. The interesting thing about this condo is it is only about a mile from lots of restaurants, etc. and yet you feel secluded in your own piece of paradise. Inside, the beds are so comfortable, and the bedrooms have black-out curtains. The condo is organized and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Lots of dresser space was appreciated. Views from all windows. Relaxing TV area. You really don’t need to leave. Sunsets from the lanai can’t be missed. What amazing, beautiful colors. What a gorgeous view. Our party of four enjoyed this property fully. Every morning was beautiful. Loved watching the sunrise on the Pu'u Kukui mountains across the bay from the master bedroom balcony. The ocean view from the condo was beautiful and easily accessible just a short walk. The property was clean well maintained and had all the necessary amenities along with a great pool and hot tub. We were only minutes away from delicious food. I'm not sure if it was the circumstances of the island at the moment or the norm but the restaurants close early (8pm). I recommend renting car there are so many spectacular sites and wonderful adventures on this island! Margie was a great host. She quickly and kindly responded to all of my questions before and during our trip. She eased our nerves as to whether we should cancel our travel plans due to the fires on maui. Glad we kept our travel plans and had a spectacular time. Overall: I would stay here again and recommend choosing this condo and Margie to anyone considering Maui. ##### Cynthia D. This oceanfront condo was a perfect place for my husband and myself, along with my sister and her husband! All of the bedrooms and the main living space had an amazing view of the ocean. The main bedroom was incredibly spacious with a bathroom. The secondary bedroom was much smaller but nicely decorated. It also had an amazing view and an attached bathroom. The kitchen was nice and perfectly stocked with plates, utensils, and cooking items, so we could cook meals. The living space was great. It is a bit smaller than what the pictures look like, but still very nice. The balcony off the main area and the master bedroom was very nice and we used both often. The condo complex has a pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub. The main pool is nice, but beware it is NOT heated, so it is a brisk swim. The hot tub is great. This complex has nice grills, so we were able to grill alot. It is also within a short drive of restaurants and bars, but we walked to restaurants and bars, too. The location is great and the condo view is fantastic. The host was very friendly and provided us with any information we needed. She also made us homemade bread, so when we came in late and were hungry--her delicious bread was waiting for us! YUMMY! GREAT TIME! Thanks so much! ##### Sue K. It's only about 20 min from airport and great view of the Ocean. This is more the heart of Maui and closer to Haleakala to start your trip. If your planning to see Hana area this is also closer than the west end of island where we stayed the rest of our trip. ##### jim s. We stayed at Margie’s place with another couple. It was big enough that each couple had their own space and a wonderful kitchen and living room area for game playing and socializing. The owner was great in providing helpful information after a late flight at night as well. This vacation was perfect. This is the best condo in kihei which has gorgeous beaches with turtles coming ashore. Neat, clean, spacious unit with all the amenities and necessities to make our stay comfortable and fun. Grandkids loved the pool and beach just steps away.
