Easy to stay at hotel 1 block from the train station. A little cramped but clean and staff spoke adequate English and were helpful when needed. Good breakfast with a lot of choices. Close to all public transport. Take advantage of the 9 E pass to use most public transit in Germany while you can. That's quite a help to satisfy your wanderlust.

Worth the $$$
The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly but not overly friendly. Possibly because I did not speak German. Overall I would stay here again. Clean, good location, great breakfast.

Pleasant stay
Great place to stay and very clean. Great location but it a bit noisy at night because of the traffic. But I would stay here again but request a room on the inside not facing the street.

Great hotel with bonus access to the spa!
Very good hotel - excellent friendly service. Clean and tidy and great boost having access to a very large new spa nearby. Breakfast good. Very close to the station and harbor area.

Good but customer service could improve.
Most of the staff were very helpful, all had good English but sometimes came across as rude. Very good location and a good european style Breakfast. Asked for a wake up call and it never came! Quality of rooms very good, but rely on your Alarm as wake up call failed.

Close to bus/train station
Good location 300 m to station and about 1 km to old town. Lovely tree-lined area. Very courteous and efficient check-in. Spacious rooms and corridors. Would definitely come again.

The hotel is really in front of the train station and next to shopping areas, very convinience for shop looking. The front office person was very helpfull.

Excellent hotel
The Berliner Hof was in an excellent location, one block from the Hauptbahnhof and central bus station, with many restaurants nearby. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. I had to take a bus to the Hamburg airport at 5AM, well before the dining room was open for breakfast. However, the evening before they asked if I would like to take a lunch box the next morning, and I said two pieces of bread and a piece of cheese and a bottle of water would be fine. When I check out the next morning they had 4 sandwiches (2 ham, 2 cheese), some sausages, an apple, and a bottle of juice Just excellent. And the regular breakfast was very good too.

Superb Central Hotel
A brilliant hotel for a short stay in Kiel. 5 min walk to the train station, airport bus and local busses and some great walks along the harbour. Good range of shops nearby, too. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and staff super cheery.

This was only an overnight stay en route but it was a generally nice hotel with friendly staff and a nice included breakfast. It conveniently had onsite parking which was very cheap but the parking spots were extremely difficult to get in and out of.

Close to ships and train.
We arrived by ship and easily walked to the hotel. We left by train which was very convenient as the station was right across the street from the hotel. The breakfast was great; a lot of choices and they openned early!

Die Rezeptionisten waren alle sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Das Ein-und Auschecken war sehr problemlos über Terminal bzw. Rezeption möglich. Auf dem Zimmer hab ich mich über 1 Flasche Mineralwasser gefreut, allerdings fehlten Bibel und Schuhlöffel. Dafür gab es einen Hosenbügler und Fön. Das Frühstück am Sonntag war spärlich. Wenig Auswahl bei Wurst und Käse. Ein käsebrötchen war gut. Leider gab es kein Rührei und gebratenen Bacon.

Die Stufen auf dem Weg zu meinem Zimmer fand ich ein wenig lästig, weil ich mal wieder einen zu vollen Koffer hatte. Aber die Nähe zum Bahnhof und zum Norwegenkai war wichtiger

Das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung, das Zimmer ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber, das Fruhstückbuffet war dem Preis angemessen, dafür aber dass man ja von Coffee Fellows übernommen wurde war die Qualität des Kaffees doch etwas dürftig, ansonsten die Lager ab top.
