"It was so great to stay at American Pines. I did the Crazy Horse Half marathon. My family and I stayed here and we had fun. This place is so easy to get to and it was clean. The other cabin folks were respectful of others. Lots of land to walk on and my

"The hotel is definitely well-used as it's showing signs of wear. We checked in late- around 9pm- and the pool was packed. Lots of parents tiring their kids out before bedtime. The bed and pillows were the softest I think I've ever slept in at a hotel which led to a great night's sleep! The only negative: the breakfast was...not great. I had high hopes from the setup, but the hot food looked worse than grade school cafeteria from the 1980's. I don't exactly know if food back then was gross, but I imagine it to be. The sausage looked rubber. The eggs were sitting in water. The pastries were..not appealing. The coffee was a step below gas station. So..if breakfast is a big deal, this could be a deal breaker. But for me, the bed is more important, so I'll stay here again if I'm in town. "
