It was exactly as we wanted as we needed to unwind. The loons were plentiful, the lake was calm with not more than one motorboat a day. The lake is BEAUTIFUL and quiet!!!!! Bit of a loud party house next door but it was the week of the fourth… House is perfect for a quiet retreat. This place is wonderful example. I don’t mean that it’s rundown or anything like that. It’s well-kept and maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in a fantastic spot. We stayed here with our sons and their significant others over the July 4th week. It’s definitely a rustic cabin, but that was what we were looking for....an authentic Maine lake cottage. The neighbors were great and the owners who live next door were friendly too. The only negative was that the bathroom shower was kind of icky.
