Hotel definitely in a great area, every thing you could do is walking distance and you are right next to grand central subway. The only thing is the rooms could use a bit of a renovation as the room we stayed in didn't have a working shower drain or phone and not the cleanest.

Hotel Edison Times Square
I stayed at this resort for New Year. It was plenty of people but the staff made sure everything clean and everyone was safe. This hotel is in a nice location in Time Square.

Not because it's anything fancy, but the location right next to Penn Station, Amtrak, LIRR, and the A/C/E, 1/2/3, B/D/F/M, and 7 trains is so convenient.
