We were welcomed by Sheila, the co owner who offered tea beside the log fire on our arrival.
We shared their lovely home for the booked 2 nights & then stayed an extra one!
Breakfast was served by Sean & was at the time requested & of very high standard.
On our return after dinner ( at local restaurants) there was an offer of tea or coffee each evening , no matter how late we were.
Sean was very helpful & knowledgeable with planning our days out to the Ring of Kerry & evening meals

We found all the staff in the hotel extremely friendly and helpful. On our arrival a member of staff brought a very welcome cup of tea and slice of cake to our bedroom.

We stayed here for two nights whilst touring SW Ireland and the hotel is ideally situated for trips to both the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. Rooms and en suite bathrooms are of a good size with all the amenities a British traveller would expect - tea/coffee making and a hair dryer. The hotel bar is extremely popular with visitors and locals alike taking advantage of well priced and well cooked dining. My beef and Guinness pie on the first night was well packed with tasty beef. We really enjoyed the weekend at Alaind Lodge, great for the local area of Sneem where there are cafes, pubs and local attractions. The Lodge itself is spacious and has several areas where guests can relax, the manager is very welcoming and happy to chat and give advice about activities available.

Excellent hotel. Lovely helpful staff & owners. Could not fault in any way. Great breakfast, plenty of parking. Great location for the Ring of Kerry. A true 4 star

From the moment we entered the hotel and met the concierge, Teddy, until we left three days later we were made to feel special. We were helped each with suggestions of where to visit and what to see. On the first evening after a tiring trip out to Killarney, we found the atmosphere in the adjoining Irish Pub, Jarveys, wonderful and welcoming. The following day it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we celebrated with an excellent meal in "The YewTree" restaurant. When the staff found out...

This is a lovely hotel in a great location with the nicest staff. The only downside is that the floors have a couple rooms that are separated from the elevator by a few steps that make it difficult when you have a lot of luggage. That aside, the rooms are very well appointed, the beds comfortable and everything is very clean.

This is very possibly the best place i have ever stayed!
The entire place was immaculate. My room was gorgeous. The bed was enormous and super super comfy. The room felt brand new, all the decor was finished to SUCH a high standard.
The bar down stairs was exactly what you would want from.an irish pub. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, who bent ovwr backwards to accomodate its patrons.
Paul in particular was fantastic, tended to my every need. The pizzas, made on site, were out of this world....

The location was really lovely, right by the river. I especially enjoyed breakfasts sitting by the window with a lovely view of the river, and there were so many delicious options to choose from as well. The staff were so friendly and helpful as well.

Fantastic hotel, and Sarah at reception was particularly helpful and friendly. My only criticism was the breakfast. Expensive and not particularly good, but otherwise we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Incredible breakfast, from staff was incredibly accommodating in holding bags for us and securing a taxi to the bus station to Cork while it was raining. Incredible customer service!!

From our initial greeting from the concierge to settling our account every member of staff made us feel valued and judged the level of attention just right. The room was very comfortable - great bed, bathroom and view from the windrow. Breakfast was a treat - great variety in the buffet and hot food freshly cooked to order The hotel is a short stroll from the town and brilliantly located to explore the local area.
