Here private, lawned grounds, a haven of rural tranquillity, house a summer kitchen with shaded dining area, gorgeous infinity-edged pool and plenty of sun-soaked terracing unfolding over several levels.

A well-stocked minimarket and two highly regarded local tavernas can all be found in the laid-back, quintessentially Greek village of Spartia which is just a few minutes' drive away as is the village's lovely sandy cove beach (2.2km) where you will find clear, shallow waters backed by limestone cliffs and a friendly local taverna.

Within fifteen minutes the golden sands at Avithos have a beach bar and two tavernas while Agios Thomas has two coves, one sandy and one rocky with a further taverna adjacent.  In addition to these there are three other particularly lovely sandy beaches, Lourdas, Trapezaki and Makris Yialos, each about a twenty minute drive
