I found the cleanliness in the service area and room excellent, and the staff so nice and helpful. A police station is located nearby so as to guarantee the security around the hotel and train station. The only drawback may be the distance from the hotel to Tokyo. The train or bus ride to Tokyo takes near one and half hour. Checkin is 3 and checkout is 10 AM, which is ot standard for the industry; 3. I requested an early checkin. They didn't respond. I showed up two hours early and they asked for 4000 yen (roughly half the cost for a full day); 4. the rooms were made for cabins on a small boat, small with quirky plumbing that serves both sink and shower. It's clean. The breakfast was actually good, to provide some balance to this review. The staff was nice, but in Japan the staff is always nice even when they're being inflexible. So I'm not sure what the niceness is worth. We did find a gem of a small traditional sushi house. In fact, that made the visit totally worthwhile. The price is also decent for more balance to the review.
