The rooms are clean, but my door lock stuck and neither the a/c nor the frig worked. The hotel did send someone to look at the air conditioner, but he couldn't fix it. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tibet! It is a beautiful property and has a real family feel to it. The staff are superb and the great thing is, you really feel the Nepalese/Tibetan culture by staying in such a property - it's so very special. Great small restaurants and I just love the ambience of the Yeti Bar on the rooftop. It's located in a nice area and there are lots of nice shops selling traditional Nepalese crafts within 5 minutes walk. Fantastic rooftop and bar. The water in the taps smelled kind of funky but they had hot water. A/C in my room was pretty rubbish. Fairly old building - Would have been in its heyday in the 60s. WiFi was Nepalese standard (not fast but okay) and they had a generator kick in during the frequent blackouts.
