The hot water and a/c work, so can't ask for much more than that. The room is basic with no creature comforts. The breakfast was quite good, actually. Potatoes with garlic was delicious. Good location if you can find it--it's tucked away between two streets. We were traveling with our group and loved the location and vibe of the hotel. There were tons of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes right outside, and museums/parks within a short walk. The rooms were very comfortable. Despite being in the center of a vibrant neighborhood, it was very quiet at night. Carmen went above and beyond in helping us to schedule a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu and was extremely kind and attentive--he made us feel welcome and well cared for. And Narayan enthusiastically helped us select some amazing shopping. Onsite, it surpassed my expectations! The front desk team was exceedingly helpful and polite, and we discussed the great amenities of the hotel and some of the local attractions in the neighborhood Thamel at length. Our private room was eligible for an upgrade, with a very comfortable bed and and clean bathroom. The onsite restaurant and bar is airy and offers a lot all around, with an intriguing sake menu in the evening, and a popular lunch menu. On the reception floor, a lounge for guests was available, hosting a relaxing space, great window for overlooking the neighborhood. As this was a birthday trip for my boyfriend, the Hotel also graciously offered him Nepali traditional Daura Suruwal and Dhaka Topi, which were a lovely amenity. Thank you so much to everyone at the property for a lovely stay! We will come back again.
