Unfortunately it is located on a very busy street, across the street from the pedestrian area around the Stupa and crossing the street could be nerve wrecking. The hotel has a restaurant and spa, both featuring Thai specialties. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the restaurant (but did not try other meals). Arranging a taxi to the airport was very smooth and the driver went out of his way to help. Similarly, the dining room is a bit of a barn but these are relatively small quibbles about a perfectly good hotel. The staff was extremely accommodating (except one night manager) when 3 of my children decided to spend the night with me. The breakfast was a delicious buffet. I was so pleasantly surprised since I have stayed in many different Kathmandu hotels. Had to send it back even though I was the only person in the restaurant. Breakfast was full of whole peppercorns for some reason. Local area was not good but I wasn't expecting it to be. Its fairly close to the airport 500 rupees in a taxi. Definitely wouldn't bother paying the 10 dollars for the airport transfer service!
