Good getaway at the mountain side at Iwamuro.
Glad that the hotel has free pick up fr the JR Stn as its a distant fr the station. Easy access for day trips around Niigata prefecture. Like the onsen hot spring available here. Good dinner!

スタッフの対応(特に食事担当の方たち)はとても感じが良かったです。 庭がとても良かったです。夜はライトアップされてて、もう少し暖かい季節なら外で座ってお酒を飲みたかったです。羊さんもいて、とても癒されました。 お風呂も露天風呂が最高でした。 でも1つだけ、部屋に入った瞬間から湿気による独特な臭いが気になりました。

露天風呂の黒湯の温泉が特に素晴らしいです。硫黄の心地よい香りがして、肌がすべすべになります。黒い色がつきますが、すぐに洗い流せました。また入りたいお湯でした。 スタッフも親切でした。

Bad smell and matter of cleanliness
Last week, I was here only 1 day but I've spent 4 days in other ryokans near this one and I can say that this hotel is the worst one regarding cleanliness(smoking smell) and the public bath(quality). Especially the dinner(kaiseki) was so disppointed cauese of the quality and the numbers of dishes. Compared with other stays, this one was so bad...If I have a plan to visit this town again, I will nerver choose this ryokan.

とても感じの良い宿
お風呂よし。料理も値段に比べれば、質は高いと思います。 建物自体は相応に年輪を重ねていると思うけど、リフォームされ清潔が保たれている。 フロントの方の対応も親切で良かった。 今回は息子との旅行だったが、今度は家内とゆっくりしたい。

Good choice for money
Hotel room and facilities are excellent, especially the public bath area. Breakfast is buffet style in good quality. We will definitely consider to stay here again if we were to visit Niigata area.

日本の良さを感じる老舗旅館
総じて満足です。家族でGWの帰省の途中一泊で利用。部屋は古いものの、広く静かで家族でゆっくり過ごせました。久々日本的な旅館に泊まり、子どもも楽しい体験ができたみたいです。夕食は品数も多く適量。ごはんも個別の小釜炊きで美味しくいただきました。また広い座敷空間に4組ゆったりの配置で満足でした。温泉も広くて内湯、露天風呂とあり、疲れが取れました。朝食はバイキング形式、朝食会場は夕食よりは混んでる印象でしたが、ひとつあけて隣のテーブルを選べる余裕がありました。またいつか利用してもいいなと思える旅館です。
