This is a fabulous hotel . The welcome we received when checking in was wonderful . We received an unexpected upgrade to Riverview room which was amazing . We had views all along the beautiful waterfront . Which was stunning when nightfall came and all the area lit up with a myriad of coloured lights . The breakfast was plentiful and delicious !We also ate in the Riverview Cafe and had coffee downstairs in coffee shop area .food and drinks at both were exceptionally good . The staff throughout the hotel were warm , friendly and exceedingly helpful The premises were spotlessly clean and well cared for . It had a quiet calm ambience throughout . It certainly is a 5 Star hotel which gave us a 5 Star visit to Kuching .

"Renovations were underway so the hotel was doing their best to stay functional. The staff were fantastic but the smell of building dust every morning as you left your room got a bit too much after a few days, even though we were on the 19th floor.
