"Helpful and friendly staff. The Onsen is very nice especially the outside area that you can hire. The beds were comfortable. Not a lot of space for storage of clothes and luggage in the rooms. The Japanese restaurant in the spa was good and affordable. The Chinese restaurant was good food. The hotel and rooms are dated and need a Refresh. Nice views of the surrounding landscape. 5 min drive to a town with supermarkets and restaurants."

It’s a shame that they allow smoking in the rooms because we are non-smokers and smoke particles cannot be completely eradicated from the room even with a room humidifier and spray fragrance. "Great hotel and staff. Location was fine. Only reason for the low review is the instructions/policies stated for the guest bath include provisions for small tattoos so long as they are covered by the property-provided cover-up sticker. When we arrived, the policy was 'guests with tattoo's are not permitted'. Not too big of an issue, but my wife, with two small tattoos was excited to try the bath as it was her first time in Japan and was unable to enter. Please ensure posted policies like this are consistent for future guests."
