Luxurious villa with a large Mediterranean garden and stunning sea views, located in the slopes of Taygetos mountain, just 1km from the beach of Verga. Close to Kalamata and the airport, with private parking and wifi. Enjoy nature, sunsets, and nearby amenities for a perfect vacation.  
  
The Space:  
Experience unforgettable holidays with breathtaking sea and mountain views, enchanting sunsets, and nearby beaches at a luxurious villa with comfortable verandas and a beautiful garden.  
  
The ground level features a spacious living room with comfortable sofas and a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining room where you can enjoy your meals.  
  
Upstairs, connected by an internal staircase, are three spacious bedrooms - two with a double bed each, and one with two single beds - and two bright bathrooms. All rooms are air-conditioned, and central heating is provided during the winter months.  
  
Outside, enjoy a paved courtyard with a chilling pergola and a green, refreshing garden - perfect for relaxation and tranquility any time of day. Cook up outstanding local products on the BBQ for an authentic Greek dining experience.  
  
This property is ideal for families and large groups of up to seven people, providing an ideal choice for unique holidays all year long.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
This luxurious and comfortable villa is situated on the slope of Verga, just 1 km away from the nearest beach. The neighborhood offers convenient amenities including a supermarket (600m), traditional taverns (200m), and a few bars for nightlife. Within a short distance, you'll find many beautiful beaches such as Almyros (3km), Mikri Mantineia (3.5km), Kalamata (3km), and the sandy beach of Santova (8km). The international airport of Kalamata is just 15km away.  
  
The nearby city of Kalamata is a modern city with many cultural events all year round, and features great historical interest. Visitors can explore its medieval castle and many museums, walk through the streets of the historic center and the large park with the award-winning outdoor train museum.  
  
We recommend several daily trips during your stay, including a visit to Ancient Messini (40km) and Ancient Thouria (20km) to experience ancient Greek culture. You can also explore the medieval castle town of Mystras (58km) and Sparta (62km), which offer routes of extraordinary natural beauty on the slopes of Taygetos.  
  
Excursions to western Messinia are also recommended, such as Polylimnio forest with its countless lakes and waterfalls (42km), picturesque Pylos (60km), Methoni (68km) and Koroni (60km) with their medieval castles, the infamous Voidokilia Beach (64km) and the natural reserve of Gialova (66km).  
  
You can also visit the characteristic Maniot village of Kardamili (30km) with its medieval fortress, Stoupa (34km) with its beaches and cosmopolitan lifestyle, the picturesque fishing villages of Agios Nikolaos (37km) and Agios Dimitrios (40km) and the natural marvel of Diros Cave (86km).  
  
For longer day adventures, we recommend visiting Ancient Olympia (119km) where the Olympic Idea was conceived almost 3000 years ago, as well as the ancient theater of Epidavros, a marvel of ancient drama architecture (185km).  
  
Getting Around:  
The villa is easily accessible by car or taxi from the nearby Kalamata International Airport, which is located only 15 km away. If you decide to rent a car, there is private parking available at the property. Additionally, there are many car rental companies located at the airport for your convenience. A taxi can also be arranged to take you directly to the villa, making transportation to and from the property hassle-free.

#### Beautiful house with inaccurate listing

We booked this property for 9 nights in June. It was a beautiful home, spectacular views, great location overall. There is a catch though. The listing stated that the property was private and exclusive during our stay, just as VRBO states in all their ads. You get a “whole house” guarantee. This is not the case with this home as the bottom level is sometimes inhabited by the owners and their dog, making parking difficult and does impact privacy.

#### Wohnung mit traumhaftem Meerblick

Die Villa Kalamata ist ein wunderschönes, sauberes und geräumiges Haus, eingebettet in einen liebevoll gepflegten Garten. Sehr genossen haben wir von den großzügigen Terrassen den weiten Blick auf das tiefblaue Meer und Kalamata. Morgens in der noch sanften Sonne mit Blick aufs Meer frühstücken und abends die wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge bei einem Glas Wein zu bewundern, war traumhaft schön. Das Haus ist mit allem Notwendigen großzügig ausgestattet. Für den täglichen Bedarf gibt es an der Straße zum Haus gibt es einen preiswerte Food Market sowie einen Bäcker. Der Standort eignet sich sehr gut für verschiedenste Erkundungstouren in die nähere Umgebung. So z.B. ins wunderschöne Máni, nach Messéne, Methóni oder über das Faýgetos-Gebierge nach Mistrá. An der Straße zum Haus gibt es einen preiswerte Food Market für den täglichen Bedarf sowie einen Bäcker. Die Begrüßung und die hilfsbereite Betreuung durch die Eigentümer war sehr angenehm.
