Access is secure, and is gained by entering codes on touch panels. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedroom is spacious, which was very welcome in Japan. Proximity to the train station and local streetcar station, and to the Sakurajima ferry, was very convenient. Having a grocery nearby was convenient, since we did quite a bit of cooking in the kitchen. Areas for improvement: There is not enough lighting at the wash basin, making it difficult to see when brushing teeth or shaving. Would help to have a recessed spotlight above the wash basin, or lighting above the mirror. Also, lighting above the right bed is dim. Would be desirable to have a recessed spotlight above the right bed. Check in is done digital, no staff on site. Nice clean rooms. + Cosy rooms with most stuff you need - Heavy cargo trains during nights right outside window, did not bother me though - But worst is that hotel can be extremely difficult to contact. No email at Hotels, no email at hotel site and "Help" call at reception does not work. We could not arrange to prolong our stay by merging two bookings since we did not reach them. There is a telephone number but that does not really help since foreign tourist cant have voice sims.
