E Komo Mai! Welcome to The Papakea Resort The Papakea is a very special resort on the ocean that is centrally located in West Maui. It is very family friendly and comfortable. You have world-class golf, restaurants and shopping just minutes away. Papakea is truly the spirit of Old Hawaii. With 11 low rise condo buildings scattered across 13 oceanfront acres. It is set well back from the street but is still conveniently close to grocery stores and restaurants. Right on the ocean just a short walk to north Kaanapali Beach. The lushly landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with red ginger and red palms. At dusk, every evening, the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds throughout the property. Papakea’s location is as good as it gets! The Papakea has it all: Ocean beaches, green manicured lawns, Koi ponds, putting greens shuffleboard, tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tubs, pool cabanas and six BBQs by each pool. The location is outstanding! You are within steps of the Kaanapali boardwalk/trail, with breathtaking views, taking you to Black Rock, Whaler’s Village shopping center and beyond. You can walk for miles down the beach just south of us. Lots of fun to BBQ in the evening around the pool. Enjoy the bubbling hot tup (up to 10pm). For the kids, frog hunting with flashlights is a great thing to do when it gets dark. The sand in front of The Papakea comes and goes depending on the weather and tides. There is a sea wall, and steps leading down to the ocean. Weather and waves permitting, people swim and snorkel in front of The Papakea. Lounge chairs on the grass behind the sea wall provide a delightful area to relax, read, or soak in the ocean view. At sunset, you will find guests lined up by the sea wall, in lounge chairs, awaiting the sunset. Often, a conch shell is blown as the sun touches the ocean. Once you come here, you will always want to come back! The Noniluna One is a unique oceanfront penthouse, featuring four sleeping areas: The condo was fully airconditioned in 2023\. Primary bedroom on the main floor; second bedroom on the main floor; upper-level sleeping loft and sofa bed in the living room. This condo is 1240 sq ft. The largest at Papakea. You will feel right the moment you step inside; a neutral color scheme of Hawaiian inspired furniture and décor await you. Sliding glass doors out to your personal lanai makes it easy for indoor/outdoor living in this open concept unit. This is a perfect condo for families or multiple friends staying at the Papakea Resort. Imagine waking up to the sounds of the ocean and starting each day with coffee on your spacious lanai. From the lanai, you are literally 45’ from the water. Upon entering, the first guest room is on your right with a Queen bed. There is a separate bathroom outside the first guest room with a shower tub. Also on the main floor is the Primary (Master), with a tub/shower and a Cal King bed. Upstairs in the open loft, you will find three beds: a Queen, a Double and a Twin. On this floor is a locking entry door and a bathroom. Guests often deposit kids up here. Before we arrived Anna let us know that construction crews had not completed work in one of the condos (2 of 3 showers weren’t operable, but otherwise the bathrooms were useable) and made an adjustment in the rental fee to accommodate the inconvenience if we chose to stay. We felt that between the units, there were options enough for our family to be comfortable and we were. Anna’s condos offer what we felt were among the best ocean views in the resort and we enjoyed watching the whales and sea turtles every morning. The condos are located within a few steps of each other and we loved the convenience of moving easily between the two. The resort is lovely and is well situated for food options (the food truck park was fun!), restaurants and shopping. Stayed 5 nights in Jun 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Katherine L. 17 Jul 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Very nice place to stay We really enjoyed the resort location, the two condos had almost everything we might need and with 16 people ranging from 1-72 that’s pretty darn good. The staff there are very nice, we loved our evening dinners in the covered gazebo. Everyone loved the pools and being able to walk to beaches along the Oceanside. The view and rainbows were magnificent. ##### Katherine L. Views were amazing. Had a few issues where room 404 wasn't cleaned by the cleaning service upon arriving but Anna got them to come in a clean right away. The pullout coach didn't work in 404 so we had people sleeping on the floor. Air Conditioner in 405 was extremely loud and didn't work. We didn't realize it wasn't working until we got so annoyed with it after 2 days we turned it off and the tempature was the same. Fairly big deal when the tempature is 85 degrees during the day and 78 at night. ##### Jeff G.
