Mountain Cabin with Lake View in Cuyamaca State Park - Julian, CA

  • Cozy cabin in Cuyamaca, CA close to historic Julian, a historic town 1 h from San Diego. Enjoy the view from our relaxing porch on Lake Cuyamaca and Rancho Cuyamaca State Park. Quiet location for a great weekend getaway bird-watching, hiking, mountain-biking or fishing. Fully equipped, woodstove, BBQ. The cabin is a 2 bedroom-1 bath comfy for 2 to 4 adults. The spacious floor plan with 720 sf plus a wide porch/balcony allows for great relaxing moments enjoying the lake and mountain views. Both bedrooms have queen size beds (pullout in 2nd room). The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, all linens, wood burning stove, porch with a barbecue and gas fireplace. From the porch you can watch birds, wild turkeys, and deer right on your land. Guests have access to the full house and land. Bicycles or other fishing gear can be stored in the basement on special request. The land (1/3 acre) hosts numerous bird feeders to observe. The patio is equipped with gas stove and BBQ for cooking and gas fire pit. Basic grocery supplies are provided. The property has an outside video camera for security reason in this remote region. The camera only detects motion by front door entrance.

The cabin has an awesome view of the lake and mountains. It's just a short drive from hiking trails. The cabin is private and has a well equipped kitchen. The host communicated both in advance and during our stay to ensure we had a great time. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing Stay!!!

Loved the view from the porch and everything was within driving distance. Our favorite part about the stay was the wood burn fireplace. Only recommendations would be have lights for the driveway at night since by 4pm it is pitch black and possible hand rails since the rock steps can be steap.

Short stay in the mountains

Had a great three days at Cuyamaca state park. Cabin is comfortable, well equipped and has a beautiful view of the lake. Stayed with a 6 month old baby. We were all very comfortable in the cabin. Great drives and hikes in the area. Julian is close by and worth a visit.

Cabin is in a great location. Beautiful views, close to trailheads and the lake. Great weather and great hikes over three days. Very enjoyable. Cabin also clean and well maintained. Sitting on the porch in the evenings was terrific.

Little Get away

Perfect spot over looking the cuyamaca lake. Great place super warm and friendly location. Back area has windows that create great cross breeze which keeps the house nice and comfy. Will be renting again in the future. Highly recommend.

Fantastic views

This was a perfect weekend stay for us who live in Ramona and didn't want to drive for hours. It was quiet, private, comfortable and our favorite thing was the deck and views of the lake, sunrise and sunset. The bed and pillows were very comfortable so much that I ordered the same pillows on Amazon. Great for side sleepers. No hair dryer so bring your own. We will be back for sure!!!

Lovely place with a spectacular view.

Our family enjoyed our 3 days of relaxation here. We mostly lounged around and enjoyed the view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The home has a nice layout, clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. Lastly, the owner is very courteous and responsive.

Such a fun time to get back to San Diego’s East county. Cozy cabin feel, amazing view with tons of wildlife to watch all morning and evening. Birds, deer, turkeys. Close to the lake, hiking, fishing. Just a great place, you’ll spend all day on the patio. 6 miles into Julian For pie, local shops, mines to see. Great local food at The Pub at cuyamaca lake. Jeremy’s on the hill was good too.
