"We traveled to Canon City to ride the train in the afternoon. We stayed one night and really enjoyed how clean the room was, free breakfast and especially the location. The train and depot were right across the street! While there we took a stroll through downtown which is an easy walk. There are many restaurants, bars, breweries and shops just a block from the motel. We really enjoyed the thrift shopping in a large shop downtown. We highly recommend this motel if you are staying overnight for a train ride."

"If you’re looking for peace and quietness, this is the perfect property. This is a clean, well kept and well stocked property. We definitely plan to come back. My wife and I enjoyed watching a doe and her fawn grazing right off the back porch. The beautiful picture windows provide a wonderful view of the forest."

"This property needs some sprucing up! It was okay for one night. The lobby is dirty and dated. The room did have a fridge and microwave. But the bathroom was dirty and the shower curtain was full of mildew. I would not stay here again."

"The couple days I spent here were an absolute blessing. The cabin was perfect, clean, and very remote, just as advertised. John and Lynn are the best hosts and the property is a gift from God Himself. I will be staying here again! Thank you so much!!"

"We had an amazing family weekend! Eric was great with communication. We were there for Labor Day weekend, 6 adults and 2 kids. There was enough space for all to enjoy time together and personal space. Like most who read some of the reviews or water signage at the home we were worried, but that was not an issue for our family of 8! We did the dishes, showered, and all things hygiene related and we were fine for those 3 days and 2 nights. The area is private and big, we were able to take walks outside, play disc golf, and enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a weekend getaway to disconnect!"
