"Just back from a wonderful weekend break at Tor Na Coille. Lovely large room, very comfortable. Everything was thought off, bathrobes, a good hairdryer, iron and ironing board. I loved the decor in the public rooms. Very tastefully done. The food was amazing we ending up having dinner here both nights. Breakfast was also great. Plenty choice and all cooked fresh to order. All staff were very friendly and nothing was a bother. A special mention to the young bar man and the lovely receptionist. She went above an beyond. We will definitely come back. "

"We spotted the village from the road above, fishing village down a steep road, cobblestones and cottages. Gorgeous 300 year old pub on the harbour, great atmosphere, comfy bed and room, breakfast the next day was fresh and plentiful and offered with love and care. Really enjoyed it, 20 steos from the harbour so pretty to walk around."

"Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. They did help us by letting us do take away when we didn’t. The area had so many great things to see. Really close to Stonehaven (our host told us about it) and you must see Dunnottar Castle located just a short drive from here. Had some gifts and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. The host lives next door so if we had an issue they were readily available. Definitely would stay here again."

"This place is a hidden gem! I have been staying at budget accommodations, trying to keep it around $100 CAD per night, including breakfast. With that in mind, this place is an incredible value. The building has character and is a bit quirky. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was renovated. The grounds are beautiful, and it is very close to Lunan Beach. The Scottish breakfast was outstanding and very filling. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t believe this place isn’t packed!"
