"This is such an exquisite historic hotel. There are inconveniences of being a historic hotel such as minimal outlets and the rooms are not as much of a presentation as the main areas however there are so many fantastic things about the hotel. The convenience of being next to the river walk and Alamo was awesome. The staff and I mean all of the staff go above and beyond for guests. The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming and everything is so clean and cared for. I loved my stay so much. I look forward to going there again soon.
If there is anything that is disappointing it would be that the city allowed high rise hotels to suffocate the atmosphere and ambience of such a historic city "
"I had a corner room that overlooked the San Fernando Cathedral. Everything was wonderful. I requested more coffee and creamer which was delivered promptly. The 1 Watson rooftop bar was terrific. Hotel is across the street from the entrance to the Riverwalk and across the street from the church. Less than a half a mile (walking distance) to El Mercado. Loved it."

I didn't like the mixed information about late check out. I did want a late check out because I wanted to attend mass at the Sam Fernando church, but it started at ten and would last til eleven. Not giving us time to return to the room to change and leave."
"The service was incredible. As soon as we walked into the property, we were made to fee like valuable patrons. It was our anniversary, and Murad at the front desk made sure to take care of us and go above and beyond to make our weekend escape memorable. We will definitely be back here again soon."
