Our stay was only one night but it was a nice hotel. The room was large and clean. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. The breakfast was good. The location was great for us....right across from the bus stop to go into NYC. Very easy to get around. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Overall we were happy with our stay but there were areas for improvement. We appreciated our two king suite, as it was nice for us parents to have a separate room to ourselves and the bed was comfy. The kids took the room that opened to the lobby area and complained about sleeping issues due to some noise at night (crying kids and lots of laughing) and a very hard mattress. I took a star off because the pool was closed with no prior notice, and we chose this hotel so the kids could swim. The pool appeared to be running when we looked but was locked up (although they stated it was closed for renovations, I did not see any apparent renovations taking place and after reading other reviews, it seems the pool has been closed for a bit). The breakfast was delicious, but I did not like being questioned the second morning about the breakfast vouchers since I had already handed them to the man about 2 minutes prior to that. Great location to get to a bus stop (Bus 320) into NYC which was the big draw for our stay. Easy parking in the garage next to the hotel and we appreciated the free parking. Easy checkout- handed in the keys and left. Thanks!
The hotel front desk staff are rude. Our suite carpet was flooded and the front desk staff accused me of not letting the maintenance member come in while he was already there. He was lovely and helpful with his help we were moved to a new room. The water had caused bugs in the suite as well
The new room like the first was furnished in old and outdated furniture. The baths had tile covered in mold and the broken surround were cobbled together with remnant tiles glued together by thick caulking. The air conditioner thermostat was stuck at 65 but the room was about 75 degrees . The popcorn ceiling is discolored by a black hue!
The cost most likely due to the FIFA game was 1,000 dollars for 2 nights. Not worth it!
The only shining light was the complementary breakfast and the sweet lady who made waffles .
This was the worst hotel experience and I beg Expedia to remove it as an option. I lost 1,000 dollars!
The shower head almost fell out of the wall, staff did not clean the room not even once within my 4 days stay, they did not find my reservation and acted fairly rude about it, the hotel is run down, never renovated
Rooms were spacious. Inner room was nice and quiet. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a very nice variety of cold and hot foods. Full bar was a nice surprise! Lots of paces to eat walking distance. They could have provided more info re: parking as there was construction and hard to figure out where to go. Also whatever they use to clean rugs had a strong smell.
There was really strict rules on breakfast the pool was closed and nobody could tell us when it would be open but we’re not informed until it check in. The parking is terrible no where to park and you have to pay for wifi
