Our family really enjoyed staying here. Our kids loved the space and could really relax after a long day out and about. Location is terrific for local shops, nice places to eat and transportation to the city.
Really well located property for getting into NY. Very comfortable beds and good to have air con but the property overall is quite dated and could do with a refurb.
We had an amazing time! The apartment was very clean and we felt completely safe and comfortable. It was very easy to get to local restaurants and to the transportation system to NYC. Would definitely stay here next time we come!
We loved our stay in Hoboken. Washington street was a great lively place. Easy to get to public transportation. Great basement unit with comfy beds. We had a great time.
This was one of the best homes I've stayed in. It was clean and in a great location. I had a group of 5 girls, but it could easily and comfortably house 6.
I had a request and the host granted it without any issue. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed 4 nights with our 2 kids during heat of the summer. This place gave us tons of room for everyone, had great beds & pillows, soft towels, a fully equipped kitchen, a great sofa, a fun patio -- all very clean and in a fantastic part of Hoboken. Parked our car at the Midtown garage & everyone there was great as well.
Overall a comfortable stay, this property is very well located and close to many transport options, including the NJ transit bus to Port Authority (midtown NYC). Basement apartment was well presented although access to the front door could be improved as it is not very welcoming. Good amenities and great suggestions for nearby cafes/restaurants and supermarkets.
The apartment was perfect for our family holiday to NYC - Dad, Mom and Son - in so many ways:
Size
Location - quiet street
Proximity to public transit
Neighbourhood - this part of Hoboken is very vibrant e.g. cafes, restaurants, etc
I'm not sure if we'll ever be back this way, but if we do we'd love to stay at this apartment.
We highly recommend.
Nice property with 2/2. Good for 4 people. Small back patio was nice in evenings. Small details (chair cushions for wooden chairs, directions for TV usage) would be nice. Thanks for assortment of snacks…

Excellent location!
Great location and nice apartment. Host was slow to respond to messages but very detailed information was available in a guestbook at the apartment. Everything needed for our stay was supplied. Bedrooms were a good size and both bathrooms had showers. Older place that is tidy but needs painting and a good deep clean. All in all a good stay in a fantastic location.
The location was ideal. Only a 10-15 minute walk to PATH trains to get to Manhattan. It was one block over from many shops and restaurants. It appeared to be safe walking around and it was nice and quiet after the being in the city all day.The apartment itself was small but it was clean, nice and simple. The steps going down to the brownstone apartment are not easy if you are disabled. There were 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The smart TV allows access to your accounts to watch shows and movies, but no cable or antenna for local shows.
Pros: good amount of space, good beds!, clean!, location was great, lovely neighborhood just one block away from very good restaurants!!!
Cons: outdoor space not as pictured-dark and smelly; upstairs neighbors were LOUD stomping starting at about 10 pm until midnight - earplugs were provided but the noise and reverberations woke us up anyway as if there someone trying to get in; good kitchen but no prep bowls or even a can opener.
OVERALL a good stay, just know what you’re getting.
The apartment was cosy and just as it showed on the pictures. Hoboken is a very good place to stay when visiting Manhattan if you like it to be a little bit more quiet but still close to lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping. The patio and the entrance was not very clean but we came in a time where there had been a lot of rain so it might be because of that. The apartment was nice and tidy and the AC worked great all through it was over 30 degrees Celsius outside.
The apartment was perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood just one block off the main street. Convenient to Manhattan via the PATH train. Comfortable beds and well appointed apartment. As others have mentioned you can hear the tenants upstairs but earplugs were thoughtfully provided and made it a non-issue. If coming into Hoboken to visit Manhattan, educate yourself on the PATH train system. Very easy to use and much less expensive than Uber or Lyft. O’Bagel close by was fanstastic! You can even order ahead on their website to skip the line. Would recommend this apartment without reservation.
We stayed here for our visit to NYC and the NYC Marathon. Getting to the city and start line was fairly easy using NJTransit and Path trains. Bus Rt126 from the Bus Terminal in Manhattan drops you off a few hundred feet from the entrance to the apartment. The host was great and very responsive to any questions we had and her recommendations were spot on! O'Bagel was so good I think we ate there almost every morning.
Hoboken was fantastic and we enjoyed just being able to walk down Washington St to grab a meal or go shopping. The apartment was clean and well provisioned and my in-laws enjoyed the apartment so much that they were discussing coming back next fall and wanting to stay there again!
We really enjoyed our stay in Hoboken at this property. The location can’t be beat and to find an affordable 2bed 2 bath in the center of everything was exactly what we were looking for. The check in process was easy, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities (soap, shampoo, towels, linens etc) were just right. However, this property needs some TLC, the couch had a stain, much of the hardware was rusted, paint was peeling, and the fridge may have something wrong because it made a very loud noise throughout the day and night (like a loud HUMMING and whistling), things like that. BUT some of these things may be expected due to the age of the building and should be easily rectified. Overall, we liked the property and would consider staying there again because the positives outweigh the negatives.
We had a great time and the apartment met our expectations. Mena, the host was responsive and provided helpful information and suggestions. As we were mid day arrivals with no rental car to store luggage while we explored prior to the 4:00Pm check in time; we were allowed to put our things inside while the cleaning crew was there. The location a block from the bus line with transit to the PATH subway was very convenient
When we saw the host provided earplugs, we were concerned about noise? That was NOT an issue. The neighborhood was as quiet as staying at a place in the mountains!

Great Location!
Positive points on this property are location to NYC and the great neighbourhood of Hoboken.
Having a washer and dryer was great and the toiletry accessories was a nice touch.
It was clean on the surface but this place could use a serious deep clean and refresh. Patio is not as it appears in pictures and there were only two drinking glasses, other than coffee mugs and wine glasses. No dishcloths to wash dishes with.
The welcome snack are a nice touch and having the dehumidifier was essential as it is pretty damp in the basement.
Overall, the location won us over and if the owners cared, they would invest in a proper cleaning company and refresh the paint and grout in the bathrooms.

Fine
The stay is in the basement of a brownstone and though they did their best with the decor I would say the photos are misleading. The space is very dark as there is only windows in the bedrooms, and the outdoor space looks nothing at like the photos and was not inviting at all. We did not enjoy our stay honestly, not for any reason really under the hosts control as the building is what it is, but if we had seen the place as it truly is we would not have booked as it is not for us.
It was lovely to have the coffee and snacks provided, and the place is clean and well decorated. The beds and pillows are fine, water pressure is extreme (like being cleaned with a pressure washer!) and never ran out of hot water.
The location is spot on for Hoboken and ease of accessing (15 minute walk) trains and ferries to New York. Very close to eateries and pubs. Though it is loud and we were woken every morning by the building garbage cans and people doing something with them. The host does provide earplugs so I suppose it’s an ongoing issue. You also enter the suite by walking down a hallway that is mold and mildew ridden with such an aggressive smell we would hold our breathes and run.
For somewhere to lay our head it was fine, but for the extended stay it was tiring as we didn’t enjoy the space so couldn’t decompress, I would say it’s better to post photos of the actual space as it is while in it so people can decide if it’s for them or not.
