"We got there and they could not find our reservations after some time they found it . When we booked we booked a first floor room well they told us they did not have any renovated rooms on the first floor and wanted to change our room . Why offer it if you do not have it . then you have to meet someone else so they can try to sell you a time share . After checking and a first floor room we went into the room and it was very musty you could even smell it in the curtains . There was mildew on the window sills the microwave had a big crack in it . The room and furniture is very dated . I do not know if I would stay here again"

"Beautiful grounds, stunning views, filthy hotel room. Dirty walls, greasy remote, hand prints on the wall. We typically love Hilton vacation club properties, but this wasn’t it. Lovely historic building as soon as you drive in, unfortunately we chose not to stay there for the weekend. "

"Suite was clean, and worked great for our family of 3. JJ responded promptly with any questions I had. Little things such as ground coffee, tea bags, creamer, small dish soap, sponge, pod for dishwasher, detergent for washing machine, and paper towels were included in the kitchen. Tissues and toilet paper were included in the bathrooms. Lovely outside deck was nice to sit at for am coffee and eating (we did have to clean the tables and chairs off, but lots of pollen in the air around this time of year). Unfortunately we were at the resort a few weeks before the outdoor pools were open, but they looked beautiful! We weren’t a fan of the indoor pool (very crowded, strong smell of chlorine, water was cloudy) so we skipped that. They have a house on site with a lot of history and we were able to attend a ghost tour of the house which we really enjoyed! The property is very nice, and great location! We traveled to Busch gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, and Va beach. Would recommend."

"The check-in and check out with Hilton was less than desirable and altered the overall experience. The communication with the owner was excellent and timely. The staff upon checkout was very rude and less than professional about a reasonable late checkout for 12 in our party (which we notified the owner of in advance and he stated it should not be a problem). The truth is that if I did not pay an extra 28 for a late checkout fee, our desk clerk stated our keys would automatically lock us out anyway. I asked that the Hilton Manager on site please give me a call and left my mobile number. I never received a call all day. It was disappointing. Future renters should know the front desk, the Concierge and the Call Center Upstairs don’t communicate. When you get a barrage of texts reminding you about your stay, the front desk doesn’t know them and tells you that. All renters are strongly approached to watch a seminar for Hilton Vacation Rentals, even if you don’t want to. The unit is old but very spacious and clean. We still had a good time despite the sub-par treatment at check-in and check out. "

"We had a family vacation with both of our adult sons and their family. With 4 busy grandchildren, this was a perfect property. Plenty of space for hide-and-seek and family meals. The outside space is generous. This condo is at some distance from the main activities, but very quiet with grass space to spare."
