It did have a kitchen that could have been utilized if there was flatware, utensils, drink ware and cookware. The A/C was great, keep the room at a nice 65 degrees. It was very nice but was dated, overall a good place to stay.

I am a single mother of two children, and at the time of this situation, my family and I were temporarily staying at an Extended Stay hotel while waiting for our apartment to be ready for move-in. We had already been staying at the hotel for a week and had another reservation in place. While I was at work, I received a call from Tasha, the FOM, the day before our reservation was scheduled to end. I was told that my service animal had allegedly been scratching at the door and barking. Because I take any concerns regarding my service animal seriously, I immediately left work and returned to the hotel to check on him. When I got off the elevator, I did not hear any barking or other excessive noise. Once I entered the room, I found my dog calm and lying down. I also spoke with the housekeeper who was working on that floor and asked her about what she had observed. According to the housekeeper, the dog may have barked when she first began her shift because he could hear doors opening and closing. However, she stated that once she settled in, the dog stopped barking. She also said that she did not find him to be aggressive and felt that he may have simply been protective. Despite this, Tasha informed me that my family and I would have to leave the following day and that she was cancelling our reservation. I was extremely concerned and disappointed by how the situation was handled, especially because I had made an effort to immediately respond to the complaint.

The hotel is presumably undergoing renovations and improvements. That's good news -- it needs it. Our room was clean, but in disrepair, with broken drawers, unattached molding around the 'kitchenette', burners that did not work. It's in a dicey (yet nice, with the adjacent riverwalk) part of town, hence, locked outside doors that require a key card. Staff was friendly & knowledgable, with the security deposit ($100) returned in the advised 'few days'. All in all, OK.
