"La Casa 1950 offered us just the relaxed summer holiday we were looking for. The beautiful house, stunning views, outside space and pool were everything we needed to chill out in the sunshine. I visited with my husband and 14 year old son. The friendly caretaker was always around if we had any issues and owner checked in regularly to ensure all okay. "

"Pros: The chilled out environment and ability to relax away from work
Cons: Is quite a way from town, about 4 kilometres of which three is on an unmade road."

Perched above a stunning reservoir, this whitewashed Andalusian village offers spectacular views from its Moorish castle ruins. Rent kayaks at the beach area to explore the turquoise waters, then sample local olive oils at family-run mills in the surrounding countryside.
We chose the hotel for its central location, which is perfect if you're renting a car and driving to different cities. It's within a very easy (wide-open freeways) two-hour drive of Granada, Córdoba, Málaga, and Seville. (Also don't overlook the lovely ancient city of Antiquera, which is nearby.) Yet it is out in quiet and very beautiful countryside.
What we didn't expect was that the hotel itself would be one of the highlights. It's not ornate, but it's beautiful and extremely well run. The...

Great view, good location, the only thing to note, that we hadn't realised when we booked was that the spa was an additional up charge.
Located well for visiting Andalusia

Fantastic location rooms were spacious clean and very reasonably priced. Free parking for motorbikes. Restaurant and bar very reasonably priced and good portions. Check in was quite tedious as the self check in was not very intuitive and didn't recognise United Kingdom and neither did the receptionist which seemed odd eventually between us we got to complete the check in.
Overall I would say this hotel was a good find but a bit remote if you like a variety of places to visit but the views and...

Nice quiet location - handy for visting Priego and the surrounding countryside. Nice room and good pool. The staff were friendly. The restuarant was very good. My only faults would be that both the wifi and room keys were a bit unpredictable

This is most certainly a 'must visit' hotel. It takes us back to the days of traditional Spanish service: nothing was too much trouble for the staff; the hotel itself is styled in the cool, traditional Andalucian way; and the food was excellent. Although it might be seen as an 'en route' stopover, the fitness and pool facilities are excellent and would offer a wonderfully enjoyable family break.
We will most certainly return!

Wasn’t sure what to expect as it is a modern Parador, not in an historic building. But we loved it. Spacious, great views from the dining room and the food was really good.

Stayed here as my sin was playing in a local tournament. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom room. Clean and comfortable. TVs in both rooms and living area. Breakfast a bit underwhelming but ok. Location with amazing views.

Our stay in this hotel was faultless. Such a superb place with friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
We would most certainly stay there again.
