As the name suggests, the rooms are “basic” but centrally located. Staff are very kind and the drink/snack amenities are a lovely touch.
This was our second visit and repeat stay in room 101. The mattress could use an update and we had forgotten the unique state of the washroom/toilet. Floor to ceiling curtain separating the toilet from the street haha! Old wood panels void of window panes or seal means you can hear everything from the outside and vice versa.

Service was great. They were very response and addressed our concerns. But the property is more 3 stars than 4. We had two small beds together in one room. My wife’s bed was slipping from the end so 20-30 pct was unusable and mattress should be replaced. Bathroom also had duct tape on the ceiling and the shower is barely 2 feet wide. I couldn’t shower without hitting my hand somewhere. Location is great but I wouldn’t stay here again. Would look for an actual 4 star hotel.
