The garden suites were perfect for families. There were two rooms, so plenty of space. We had a small kitchenette in our unit which was helpful. The beach across the road is pebbles, which isn't ideal with children, but we knew that when booking the hotel. We drove a short distance to sandy beaches.

Hotel was lovely for the price. The rooms on the main floor have been renovated, and were nice.the hotel staff were very friendly, particularly the bartender who remembered our favorite choices, and came to say goodbye on our last day and give us a hug and hand shake goodbye.
Food and alcohol was always available, and the pool area is very nice.
There is no air conditioning. There is a system that circulates the air only. We were on the ground floor and it was very noisy so we ended up with a poor nights sleep, and we were there for 5 nights. My husbands biggest complaint was the WIFi. Aegean airlines requires you prebook your luggage online, or they will charge you almost double to do it at the airport. Needless to say we paid double because the internet kept crashing. So if you are addicted to staying connected, don't stay at this hotel.
We were a group of 40 guests for a wedding and the service was amazing. The food was always fresh and different. The entertainment team were original and friendly. The staff were great. Can't wait to go back.
Hotel is close to the beach (1 minute by foot). 5 minutes walk and you are at first windsurfing center. Additional 5 minutes gets you to Surfers Paradise (also windsurf center) where are really nice and helpful; excellent teachers and top equipment. I highly recommend them!
Breakfast in hotel is OK. Fresh fruit, especially watermelons were excellent.
Room was clean, with air-conditioning (perfectly working). Bathroom is small, but OK. Staff is always prepare to help you. Hotel also share a pool with another hotel. There is a pool bar.
"Excellent affordable apartment hotel on the beach"
The hotel apartment room was basic however, very spacious, light and airy. OK the kitchenette was a bit past it and the bathroom taps could do with changing, but it was fab. Great to have somewhere to make a cuppa, stock up on cold drinks and keep a few munchies available - who would want to cook? The resort has loads of inexpensive Tavernas with excellent food. The apartment was clean, well furnished, lovely long balcony and surprisingly private. It was a short cab ride from the airport and even shorter to travel into Rhodes Town. The beach was immediately opposite and around the pool there was always available loungers with the bar very handy. If you are looking for somewhere to hang your hat and save the finances for other activities Sunny Days is ideal. It had a small number of apartments and a mixed array of international guests, very suited to the traveller on a budget who is not looking for a wild nightlife - there are other resorts for that. Ixia was small and very family friendly. The only slightly annoying feature was the over loud pop music played from around 11.am till midnight around the pool - If this is going to drive you to distraction ask for a room at the back of the hotel or take wax ear plugs.
A purpose-built seaside resort, Ixia lies on Rhodes' north coast, three kilometres from Rhodes Town, and 11 from the airport. Along the coastal road is a string of large hotels set in landscaped grounds with pools. The long, narrow pebble beach is equipped with sunloungers, umbrellas and water sports facilities. Thanks to the north wind, windsurfing is popular here.
