Many of the neighboring restaurants either don’t take children, or are so small that it’s difficult to accommodate them. With that in mind, the biggest issue is the on-site restaurant. It was serving pre-reserved tables only (no walk-ins) but because we booked on Expedia we had no idea that not booking a meal in advance would limit us. The staff made no indication of how to make a reservation for future days nor did the front desk mention anything at check-in. If there were ample dining options around this would be a non-issue. What makes up for this poor restaurant experience is the amazing in-suite / indoor private bath. I had booked a private bath as my father had a prominent tattoo but the reception was able to provide tattoo covers, which was very kind of them. The surrounding town tends to have quite a bit of cars, and there isn't always a clear sidewalk so potential visitors please keep that in mind. It is about a 10minute walk from Ito Station.
