It's a very nice hotel, with a wellness center, indoor and outdoor pool, beautiful views, close to the beach, 1/5 km from the old town. Very good dinner and breakfast. It was a pity we didn't stay longer.
Our one night stay in mid October was at the end of a weeks car tour of Istria. The lobby is as big as some other hotels!. The package we purchased was for a buffet supper and breakfast, the latter being the best of the two.not many other places around to eat out at unless you fancy a drive or bus ...
We spent three weeks in Various lodging through Croatia and Venice, Amarin was at the top. Very clean ,quite and roomy. Excellent facilities. The buffet was exceptional with some of the best coffee we had in Europe. This location good for family or not. We were childless and very much enjoyed it. ...
The Hotel is very 70s and has no airconditioning, which made our stay during a heatwave quite uncomfortable at times. However, we knew this going in and it was very cheap. The location was fantastic and when it got too much we would sit in the bar of one of the more expensive, airconditioned hotels ...
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very pleasant and extremely efficient reception team. Booking in was relatively quick, despite the late hour and the number of guests who all arrived around the same time due to being on the same flight as us. It was raining when we arrived and very ...
Perfect hotel for both peace and quiet And easy access to town. Loved taking the little ferry to Rovinj. Breakfasts were excellent, as was the local wine. Lovely pool and beach coves.
We stayed 2 nights here before moving on during a tour around Croatia. It is a lovely small hotel and the pool is an added bonus. It would not be easy to find without a SatNav though!
A craggy, verdant peninsula on Croatia's northern Adriatic Coast, Istria is renowned for its long, white-pebble beaches and warm, aquamarine waters. There are a number of popular beach areas in Istria including Poreč, a buzzy resort on the western coast, Rovinj, a quaint Mediterranean town and fishing port, and Pula, Istria's buzzing main hub. All offer a variety of three, four- and five-star beach hotels catering to every budget.
Regarded as the jewel in Istria's crown, Rovinj is centred around a colourful fishing harbour and the old town, where the ancient cobblestone piazzas are lined with bars and street cafes. The clutch of pebbled beaches around Rovinj are lined with beach hotels, many with restaurants, kids' clubs and wonderful sea views. The harbour offers a daily ferry service to Venice, as well as pleasure boat tours around the Rovinj archipelago, Katarina Island and Red Island.
Poreč on Istria's western stretch offers a number of three and four star beach hotels in the bustling Zelena Laguna and Plava Laguna resorts. Both offer safe pebbled beaches with shallow, clear waters, and have a decent shopping and bar scene. They attract couples, friends and young families.
Perched on Istria's southwest tip, Pula is a bustling city with a fascinating history centred around the imposing 2nd-century BC Arena, which is regarded as one the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. Most beach hotels in the area are located on the Verudela Peninsula, known as the Pula Riviera, a short bus ride from the old town.
Pula's Fazana and Premantura beaches offer sea kayaking, snorkelling and windsurfing, as well as many sailing excursions from one of Pula's two marinas. Escape the city for the day on a boat trip to the Brijuni National Park, a clutch of protected islands just off the coast.
