As a traveller, sometimes you need to make yourself an herbal tea or an early morning coffee. Also, please have 100% overhead coverage of the areas connecting the buildings. It rained during...

Top Foli Hotel Reviews

Lone Hotel by Maistra Collection

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful property, unique architecture and the walkway by the sea was lovely. Beach and pools were beautiful"

The Melegran

10/10 Excellent

"The staff are the most helpful, positive and sweet people that I have encountered in the hotels. Milena was a lifesaver. Any problem you would report immediately was taken care of. We are so pleased with our experience here. Thank you to everyone at melegran!"

Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

8/10 Good

"The room was clean and towels were refreshed daily. Buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel were good. The Oleander restaurant was also good but in the trees so bug spray is needed. The water in the main pool was colder than the sea, and the spa pool was cool despite, supposedly, being heated. The staff were great and many made a fuss of our 4 year old. There is no local bus or hotel shuttle to the Old Town. This is only a short walk for adults but several times we returned to the hotel by taxi (never charged more than 10 Euros though). All in all, this is an excellent location and a great holiday destination. Airport transfers were excellent, booked through Maistra link."

Monumenti Heritage Hotel & Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel!"

BO Hotel Palazzo

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent hotel will stay again"

Park Plaza Belvedere Medulin

10/10 Excellent

"Really good hotel for families. Great pools, right next to beach and a lush stroll to shops and restaurants."

Maistra Select Belvedere Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had an amazing time at this hotel. The buffet was amazing with large varieties of food and even containing vegan + vegetarian options. The hotel is very close to the sea, though distances differ depending on your room number. There were many enjoyable evening activities, both for adults and for children. We recommend this hotel!"

Hotel Pula

8/10 Good

"Better than most gym. The pool area and bar were very nice. Breakfast was decent. Very well located near beach. Netflix didn't work due to some WiFi setting. Common areas need some updating."

Valamar Bellevue Resort - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Foli?

The best area to stay in Foli is the village centre, particularly around the main square and the streets immediately surrounding it.This area is the heart of Foli, offering easy access to its local amenities. You'll find the parish church of St. Philip and James (Crkva sv. Filipa i Jakova) as a central landmark, and the surrounding streets are home to traditional Istrian houses, local shops, and a few family-run eateries. It's a compact and easily walkable area.Couples looking for a relaxing and authentic experience will appreciate staying in the village centre. It provides a peaceful base to explore the local culture, enjoy leisurely meals, and take strolls through the historic streets. The focus here is on quiet enjoyment and local hospitality. For families, particularly those with younger children, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre but still within a short walk is often a good option. Many villas and holiday homes in these surrounding areas offer private gardens or swimming pools, providing more space and privacy for children to play.

When is the best time to go to Foli?

The best time to visit Foili is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 25°C, which are great for exploring the Istrian countryside, relaxing on the beaches, and enjoying outdoor activities without the intense heat of mid-summer. The sea is also warm enough for swimming from late May onwards. For those looking for a lively beach holiday with guaranteed sunshine, July and August are also excellent, though these are the busiest and hottest months. Prices for accommodation and flights tend to be at their peak during this period, and popular attractions will be more crowded. However, if you enjoy a bustling atmosphere and don't mind the heat, these months offer a full calendar of local festivals and events.Ultimately, your choice depends on your preference for weather, crowd levels, and the type of holiday you're seeking.
