Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location. Rooms are ok, comfortable beds, very small bathroom, several steps to go to the bedrooms. Good breakfast.
Hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Sultanahmet. The bed was very comfortable, everyone on the staff was so helpful and kind - especially Beethoven who helped us arrange all of our transportation. 10/10 would recommend.
Wonderful experience from check-in to check-out. The property is lovely, but the highlight of our trip was definitely the team working there. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and accommodating. A massive thank you specifically to Beethoven his outstanding service and attention to detail truly made a difference during our stay. We will definitely be booking here again!
Grace was so helpful with all our arrangements and so knowledgeable about things we can do to make our trip magical!! Breakfast so fresh and filling, just enough to get us thru the day. The room clean. Location perfect for shopping and all the site seeing. Felt so safe! Was a great place. Would stay there again in a hearbeat!
We enjoyed the friendly staff and ample breakfast, but what stood out most was the value. The price was very, very reasonable for what we got. Location is pretty good, a short walk to Sultanahmet square and Metro. Restaurants and shops all around the hotel. Definitely a good option for someone looking for a good budget hotel option - clean, friendly, central.
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to stay at Sophia Corner Hotel. It is a hidden gem in close proximity to all the amazing sites in Istanbul. No, not everything in my room was perfect, but the staff hospitality more than made up for that. From my first interaction with Zaki, when I first arrived from the airport to the constant support from Beethoven, my experience was wonderful. I was so grateful for Zaki's kindness and attentiveness. And I can't say enough about Beethoven. Anything I needed, from tours to taxis, he went above and beyond to help me out and schedule everything. He even made sure to make my tea in the way that I preferred it. This was a great compliment to go along with their wonderful breakfast. If and when I return to Istanbul, I would be more than happy to stay at this hotel once again. Thank you again for making my stay so memorable.
Every staff member was top-notch always looking out for their guests and making sure to help with any needs. Very apologetic if things went wrong and always presenting their little hotel with a smile and a warm greeting! They did everything they could help my niece and I, traveling together, by finding us a different room with two beds on the ground floor. That was awesome! But the rooms were definitely much smaller than I had anticipated. Yes, I am from America. Yes, we are used to things being a bit roomier and larger. That is all true. I was looking for a bit more of a quaint, charming European hotel. It was definitely charming, but I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay here to truly consider having separate rooms if you are with someone. I would equate this more with a dorm room in college as it was a completely overwhelming, small space. My niece had a good attitude because I was the one who booked it. I promise you the price was great but overall, for what I was looking for, I would just truly recommend that one would pay more money if you are starting off a fabulous vacation! Did we have a lot of laughs? Yes. Would I rather have had a place to put my luggage without feeling crowded? Yes yes!
It is hard to top the proximity to all of our locations, guide and fabulous sites of Istanbul! That was a 10 out of 10! But the price is not an issue I would look for the same area or book 2 rooms. I also truly appreciated the hotel shuttle, which is well priced!

Breakfast and staff were both excellent. I got in at almost midnight and staff helped me up to the fourth floor with my luggage. They also took it down when I checked out. Being that I am 80 years old and walk with a cane, it meant so much to me. I wanted to go to their spa, but realized that their spa was at another place. However, they provided free transportation to and from the spa. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa and hammam treatments. Note that this hotel does not have a lift, and I had to go up to the fourth floor via winding stairs, and after the third floor, the lights were out on the stairs. For an 80 year old lady using a cane, it was a hazard. Once I got up to my room, I did not want to go down anymore. They should have advised this to guests during booking that this hotel had no lift, and that rooms could be on higher floors. Since I booked and paid for my room a week or so before I took my trip, I had no way of knowing. And since I came after 11 pm, I did not have a choice. But that should have been made clear during booking. Other than that I was happy with my breakfast. The cheese and vegetables were always fresh, and the egg omelet they served was always cooked fresh and delicious.
We stayed here for one night during our trip to Istanbul and had a really good experience. The hotel is in an older building, but it has a lot of character and the view was absolutely beautiful, especially overlooking the city. The staff were excellent very welcoming, helpful, and attentive from check-in to departure. Even with the older style of the property, everything was comfortable and clean. Great location and a memorable stay overall. We would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a hotel with charm and an amazing view in Istanbul.

Room was decorated in a cute beach yet Turkish decor and the breakfast was very good. Location was not so good and had a horrible view of piles of garbage
