Great stop over hotel in Istanbul

I had a stop over in Istanbul for one night, so just literally needed a hotel for a single night, with the intention of spending the next day around the city. I have been to Istanbul many times, so was familiar with the area etc. I picked this hotel because it is close to the metro and tram facilities. It took longer than expected to get in from the new airport, so I didn't check in till midnight this was not a problem. They were expecting me, and in moments I had my key card and was shown to my room. Size wise the room was totally fine, as I said I just needed a few hours of sleep and get ready for an early start. All the features as specified, fridge, air con etc. In the morning I had the breakfast, was good pretty much what I was expecting. Had some toast and tea and was ready to get going.

À notre arrivée tard, le soir, on a été reçu par le réceptionniste qui n’était pas sympa, Ils ont tardé à nous donner les clés, plus on a été accompagnés par le réceptionniste dans notre chambre. Par contre la télévision ne fonctionnait pas. Pourtant, c’était précisé sur la description de la réservation, télévision inclus, la télévision ne marchait pas. On a informé le réceptionniste, mais il n’a rien fait au au retour. La douche était sale et y avait quelques cheveux à l’intérieur intérieur. Énormément de bruit le soir on entend tous ce qui se passe dans les autres chambres, et même dans le couloir. Le lendemain matin, on s’est précipité de changer d’hôtel pour notre confort.

Take a pair of pliers with you if you want showers

Checked into this place and they had a rating of 8.0, I don’t know how. Service desk was rude, gave them an average rating only because i heard people are rude in Istanbul compared to the rest of Turkey. Elevator was too small the person showing us the room, took the stairs with only 2 of us.place was dirty and noisy. In the morning I got up to take a shower and the diverter from normal faucet to had shower is stuck in place and I couldn’t get it to work so I didn’t get to take a shower. If you need a hammer and a toolbox to take a shower, maybe stay away. Room number 102.

Never again.

This is a very run down hotel in an area where most people don't like to go out in the evening. This part of the city is very busy with workers transporting/carrying packages of clothing. The only reason for staying here is that it is near the IDO ferry which departs early in the morning but there are better hotels in the neighborhood which I'd rather stay at next time.
