Great home located just steps to the beach with a large fenced backyard

Cozy pet friendly brick home across the street from the beach with a fenced in back yard. Easy beach access and central location to the Isle of Palms Recreation department with playground, basketball, tennis courts, dog park, farmers market, and much more. Small screened porch on back and sundeck on the front. Great option for those on a budget but wanting to be near the beach. Fully equipped kitchen. WiFi . The square footage of this house is 1,407. Linens Included. Gas grill. Pets are conditional and must be approved in advance ($200 non refundable pet fee).

*The home is setup with Rokus attached to the living room and master bedroom TV's. The owner provides access to HULU and Disney+ with an antenna for live local channels. Apps are also available on the roku's to sign into your own personal streaming accounts to access more content. *

Rentals are stocked with small ‘starter packs’ that include: toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like location of this house. It is short distance to a beach at 29th. We survive hurricane in it with not stopping wind songs mostly because the house is old and has a lot of holes. It has 8 sleeping places but doubt that there is place for 8 people to sit at the table or in the living room. Most disturbing for us was AC, especially when most vent are above your head. AC is very strong for this house even when vents are close. Never had such a problem before. This house is not for everyone. I can’t recommend or not recommend it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No frills comfortable older home on 29th Street. Perfect setup for us as a couple with our two golden retrievers. We discovered that we didn’t have a coffee maker after we checked in. I contacted Island Realty maintenance team and had one delivered within 10 minutes. We’ve rented several properties that Island Realty manages and have never been disappointed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time during our month-long stay. This place isn't really a beach house per se, but it is generally functional (i.e., provides basic necessities) and the location is very convenient for access to the beach. We found a few things that required maintenance or repair, and Island Realty's maintenance dept was very responsive to our requests. We stay here mainly because our small dog is allowed too, and the price is right. We're not fans of the ROKU TV system, but fortunately we could hook up our Apple TV, which helped.

Palm Blvd is very busy and noisy, so you might look elsewhere if you're sensitive to noise, but it's a short walk to the beach, the back yard is great for the dog, and we had plenty of room for 4 people.

The property could have been cleaner (bathrooms & kitchen). The home also had a musty spell, but overall it was good. Location was very good if you wanted to go to beach and into town.

Great location, no frills, clean and has everything you need. There were no linens, which we knew and found out you could rent them. We decided to save the $100+ cost to do so and brought our own. The beach access was right across the street and the beach was not overly crowded even though it was the 4th of July weekend. We would recommend for those looking for a bargain.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The size of the house was all me and my family needed for vacation. The location of the house was amazing with just a walk across the road to the public beach access. We knew this house was outdated based on the photos provided and we were okay with that. HOWEVER, the cleanliness was sub-par. There were stains on the carpet that wasn’t conveyed in the photos. Broken blinds were in the bedrooms, sand seemed to be everywhere when checking in. We tried to clean up and found a broom but no broom pan. The last day when getting ready to check-out one of the family members opened the dish washer, which we didn’t use all week, and to our surprise there were dishes left from the previous renters the week before. And to no fault of the property managers, the cherry on top was when a small frog crawled out of the sink drain in the bathroom. Don’t worry, no frogs were harmed and the little guy was released outside. It just felt dirty in this home which was upsetting because no one wants to spend their money on a vacation rental to feel gross.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd year at this house and 5th on Isle of Palms. The house was very dirty. The realty company was very responsive and followed up with the assigned crew. I don't believe it was a direct really company crew.The rest of the house just appeared to be unloved and uncared for. We came a second year thinking things might have changed (it hadn't), given it's location and price. I think it should be a fine spot for those planning very very little time in the actual home but that was not the case for us. Also, think it is odd to have room for 8 to sleep but a dining area that could only squeeze 6. Maybe good for a family with several young children who are not concerned with cleanliness or T good space within the home. The best things about this house are access to the beach and the fenced backyard. A huge amount of construction occurring on this street making it quite noisy all day long

I just did like the house have soiled bedspread and finding a cracker in the bedroom floor on our first night and the dirty shower and shower curtain. I am planning on renting in September and pray they clean it up better there was bulbs out in bathroom and a light out in the living room over head light The girls came back and cleaned it . The vacuum in the closet doesn’t work so I wasn’t able to do anything except sweep with broom.

The family spaces (living room and kitchen/dining room) are quite small for a house that can sleep 8.The front deck is quite large but I would advise folks to bring an umbrella so you can enjoy some time out there. The best quality of this spot is its proximity to the beach. If you are someone who likes to cook, the kitchen is very limited and you might want to bring some of your favorite tools. With skyrocketing prices on IOP, this place is reasonably priced too.

Minimalistic but Acceptable

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself is adequate with 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed the convenient location and a fenced backyard. However, the laundry room is not acceptable by most people's standards. The kitchen cannot accommodate many people. Accessing the screened porch was difficult because you must go through the laundry room. Having young children, we weren't able to send them to the porch without our direct supervision. The house was generally clean, but truly needed a thorough mopping and dusting. I have dust allergies and immediately had severe congestion after sleeping here one night. The management company was responsive to our needs, which we appreciated. However, there is a lack of communication with guests -- someone entered our rental twice without our prior knowledge, even though the policy states that guests will be notified prior to entry. Management was contacted about this.

The house is older and was clean upon arrival but could really benefit from a deep clean, basic updates, and basic furniture. There is very little clothes storage (one small dresser in main bedroom). There is no king bed, but there are four bedrooms. This house reminded me of a beach house you rent with friends in college, but it is not ideal for families wanting a relaxing vacation with updated amenities.

Vacuum did not pick up and the floors could have used a good cleaning prior to our stay. We found an old used paper plate under the couch along with dust bunnies and dog toys under the furniture. Mattresses were quite hard. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with the house and would like to return.

The home is laid out nice with lots of indoor space and was minimally but acceptably stocked with kitchen items. Back covered area, where we spent most of our time, was small, hard to keep clean, and got HOT when you ran the dryer, but it was great to have a screened in area.

Nice place for the Money

My only complaint was the house needs to upgrade the Cable TV package..almost no channels to watch. If your kids want to watch Kids shows (Nickelodeon), or the men want to watch ESPN, you're out of luck. Almost every cable/satellite company I know has a "basic" package that has ESPN, Nickelodeon, CNN, etc. But this house doesn't. Upgrade the cable please!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in this rental for two weeks. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. Beach access is right across the street, so the location was great. You can actually see the ocean from the porch as well. Coming from our newer, open-concept home, this place seemed kind of closed off and darker. While nothing is fancy, it has all the basics. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, mugs, cups and silverware. If you are going to cook here, just be prepared to get creative since there is really just the bare minimum there. We would definitely stay here again!
