Walking distance to the beach & Conference Center. We offer the opportunity to vacation in a quality appointed, well maintained home; showcasing an incredible view of the 18th hole of the Harbor Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio, to the left, and a wide open view of the salt marsh, Morgan Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway straight ahead and to the right. Watch the ferry to Dewey’s and the boats transversing the Intracoastal. From this prime location in the Wild Dunes community you are within walking distance to the Harbor Golf Course, tennis courts and the Atlantic Ocean with its beautiful white sand beaches. The Links Golf Course is a short drive away, making this a perfect location for your golf, tennis or beach getaway. Indulge in a spa treatment at the Sweetgrass Inn or enjoy having breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. When you enter Serenity on Marsh Island, you’ll be greeted by walls reflecting peaceful cool tones with images of coastal life setting the stage for relaxation. Step onto the screened porch to enjoy a journey you’ll never forget; watching amazing mango sunsets and enjoying the often present evening breeze from the marsh. This is a birdwatchers paradise. Keep an eye out for Heron, Egrets, Osprey, Red Tailed Hawks and the occasional Rosette Spoonbill. Enjoy time as well on the open deck viewing the starlit night sky. There is also a covered ground level marsh side seating area equipped with six Adirondack chairs and a table. The grill, more seating and side tables are just down the back steps from the deck off the dining room. The well equipped kitchen, dining room and living area provide an open view of the marsh. Each of the three bedrooms has a king bed with high quality linens, tv and attached bathroom. One of the two bedrooms upstairs has its own balcony where you can soak up the sun while enjoying the sights of the marsh, or view the evening constellations. There is a small refrigerator and coffee station in this room as well. There is a second bedroom upstairs which has an expansive view of the Harbor golf course. These two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk in shower. The third bedroom located on the main floor has a lovely golf course view with an attached full bathroom that also accommodates the rest of the main floor. All bedrooms as well as the living room are equipped with smart TVs including access to Comcast Xfinity high speed internet. There is a laundry room with full capacity washer and dryer available. We provide six beach chairs, turkish beach towels, three umbrellas, children’s beach toys and a rolling cart to take them all to the beach, just a short walk away. Serenity on Marsh Island is well appointed and conveniently located to local shops, restaurants and bars. We highly recommend you make reservations at restaurants now. Our world renown downtown Charleston restaurants book up months in advance during the majority of the year. Sullivans Island is 15 minutes away. Historic Fort Moultrie, Patriots Point and Fort Sumter are all within an easy drive. Middleton Place and Magnolia Plantations are about 45 minutes away. A short 30 minute drive takes you to historic Charleston where you can experience horse drawn carriage rides, world renowned restaurants and shopping. Very clean and comfortable. Incredibly private with awesome views of the marsh and all the birds that call the marsh home. Morning coffee and sunset watching in the screened-in room was the best. Our favorite part was the view off the deck of the marsh- lots of wildlife and beautiful sunsets. The home is very comfortable and well appointed. This property was everything I expected & more based on the pictures showed. Very serene atmosphere and the views of the marsh were the best. Our favorite place was the back porch watching for birds. The 12 minute walk to the beach was good and shelling was fun. The property had everything we needed for a beach day. Felt very secure being in a gated community. We enjoyed our mornings relaxing and watching the different birds in the marsh and made sure we were "home" in the evenings to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. The host was so easy to work with, gave great local pointers and the house is exactly as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked and had every thing we needed. There were also beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, toys for children and a beach cart which made the beach so easy.This was our first time staying in the Wild Dunes complex and we'll be back for sure and will hope to stay at Serenity on the Marsh again! ##### Diane O. All the bedrooms had cozy king beds. The kitchen was set up with everything we needed. There were even beach chairs and a beach cart for us to use which was helpful so we didn’t have to bring from home. The best part about our trip was sitting on the back screened in porch overlooking the marsh! We had coffee every morning sitting on the sofa as well as a glass of wine at night. We loved watching the birds and one morning a light storm came through. Just beautiful watching it from the marsh view. Me and my family will definitely stay here again! And Janette was amazing! It's exactly as described, although the porch is even more fabulous than it looks. We spent a ton of time out there enjoying the ebb and flow of the marsh, beautiful breezes, and breathtaking views. The setting is outstanding - panoramic marsh views, boats moving about, and golfers teeing off on 18, all from the private balconies, porches, and outdoor seating areas. It is exceptionally well-appointed, with plush towels, quality linens, and a well-equipped kitchen. With the open floor plan, you can gather as a group or find a quiet space to read one of the more than 100 books on the shelf. The owner is super responsive.
