Located just outside the gates of Wild Dunes Resort, on the cul-de-sac of 56th Ave, this home allows access to all of the resort’s amenities. This home has a sprawling floor plan that provides over 6,000 square feet and is filled with luxurious décor throughout, including hardwood floors and marble countertops. Entering into the grand foyer of this home, a formal dining room is on the right and provides a sizable table with seating for ten people. From the formal dining room, a state of the art kitchen can be accessed, fully equipped to handle any meal. A dining table for eight and kitchen bar seating for two rounds out the fabulous kitchen. Through the kitchen is a small sitting area with a pull out sofa. Adjoining the sitting room is the game room featuring a pool table and flat screen TV with cable. In the center of the home is a large family room with comfortable furnishings. A half bath is just off the living room. The media room is also on the main level of this home and features a flat screen HDTV, gaming system and a pull-out sofa bed. The first level also has a piano room, through which, the screened in porch can be accessed. Additionally, one bedroom with a king size bed and private bath is located on this floor. The second floor is comprised of four bedrooms which provide an array of bedding. A king size bed is present in the master bedroom while a queen bed and twin size bed with pop up trundle occupies a second bedroom. A third bedroom features two twin beds while the remaining bedroom provides a king size bed. One of the best features of the second floor is the rear balcony which runs almost the entire length of the house and has multiple seating groups providing the perfect outdoor space to soak up some sun or enjoy a family meal. Other wonderful features include flat screen televisions in all bedrooms, a game room with a pool table, a sitting area, piano room, and amazing ocean views! The owner very kindly decorated for Christmas, and provided nice personal touches for the season. As VRBO owners ourselves, we appreciated that everything was thoughtfully laid out, all the equipment worked and there were plenty of nooks and private spaces where we could work puzzles, play chess, read or whatever suited us. The house is well located but not well maintained. There were so many issues with the property, starting with a broken picture and glass all over the second floor. The ice machine was jammed, the hot tub wasn't working but there was NO HOT WATER. The team at Wild Dunes tried their best to fix the problems but the hot water issue never got resolved. The owner should not have rented the house out. Supposedly we are getting a refund to compensate for the stressful experience so hopefully that will happen. But we can't get back the time for what was supposed to be a fun family reunion. ##### Susan W. We enjoyed the accommodations and the proximity to the beach and to Charleston, both of which we took advantage of numerous times. We did not use any of Wild Dunes facility during our winter stay, opting instead to cook together and enjoy family time and the family rituals of the holiday. We had plenty of space for group activity and also for alone time and would recommend this home to others seeking a comfortable well appointed accommodation. The photos and visual tour of this property lived up to the reality. It was clean upon arrival and the resort staff responded to our needs efficiently and in the best way available to them. Not everything worked in the home and the kitchen lacked some important items, but we managed just fine. All in all the property worked beautifully for us.
