Overall the cabin was ok. It’s about a 40 minute drive from the West Yellowstone entrance and is fairly secluded on 2 acres. There are a few gas stations and restaurants within 15-20 minutes from the cabin. As for the cabin and property there are things that could be improved on. First, upon arrival, the cabin had a smell as if dogs had been in there and was bothersome the first few days we were there. It did seem to go away when the temperature dropped but was quite strong when it was warmer. The half bath that’s listed is actually located in the garage on the first level of the cabin. Not a huge issue for us but it could be for some families. While the bathrooms, rooms and kitchens were clean… the balcony and the property itself seemed cluttered in areas. The balcony had boxes and a ladder laid out. Just seemed like there was piles of different things outside that felt like an eyesore. The biggest disappointment was the fire pit. This was something I specifically asked about because my family loves to sit outside and make snores around a fire. While they did have a fire pit, it was not well maintained and the grass around it was overgrown. We couldn’t use it. Now that thats out of the way, I will say that these are easy fixes they can address and make the next families stay be great.
