"I was clearly given a room that should never have been rented for any reason.Please double check Room 106 completely before bedding down for the night. Absolutely horrendous!!
I arrived roughly 830pm to check in for my reservation I had booked over 6 weeks earlier. There was some confusion over this and she had to have another person look into this. After quite a few minutes clicking on computer, they looked at each other and I was checked in.
I checked room and found my deadbolt wasn't aligned so I could not lock door. I went back to desk to ask for another room only to be told all other rooms were dirty due to large concert in town the last few nights. He said my reservation should never have been made as he had closed bookings for that night. They would not offer me any discount as my booking was made at a rate that was all ready way over the full price.
I took a chair and jammed it in the door to feel a little safer being there.
As I looked around the room more, no exhaust fan in bathroom, no smoke or fire detectors, outlets are 2 prong - non grounded, water piping for toilet shows seriously leaking, the one outlet in sleeping area shuts off when you turn light out, no gfc in bathroom sink. I could go on.
I awoke after 3 hrs restless sleep to step in a pool of water in bathroom from the leak that has obviously been going on for quite a while. I put a towel down and tried to recharge my computer pad. I could no more and left feeling tired, abused, taken advantage of, etc."
