I had a lovely overnight stay in the wel presented Willow Lodge. The room was immaculate and had some lovely touches from the owners. The location is stunning, you will not be disappointed. Slightly disappointing for me was the price for the electric vehicle charging. But would not be put off booking again..

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. I'll have no hesitation in booking this wonderful hotel The food is so well presented and taste delicious. Also I would like to make a serious point that the staff are so helpful polite and above all can't do enough for you It so wonderful Five stars to all

Lovely characterful hotel in a great location. We were upgraded in to a four poster room. Although the bed dominated the room there was still room for a sofa, desk and chairs. In addition there was a very spacious ensuite with a modern finish and great fittings. The staff were very welcoming and keen to help. The villagers of Pilsley were very friendly. Just up the road is the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop which has a brilliant selection of foodstuffs for those wanting the odd snack, souvenirs...

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome or to be made feel so valued as a guest. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We had all of the amenities we needed and more besides. Breakfast was lovely and were offered top ups of hot drinks. Probably one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in a while!
